I had Ghost Girl Isolation disabled when it happened
This means that disabling this setting causes problems
I am also testing the bracken by the way, can you confirm for me what the problems are with the diversity bracken?
I think flashlight dimming is kinda wonky, and the rare voice line that plays when a bracken angered via appy/breaker kills someone doesn't play
Breaker anger might be busted, but I didn't test it very closely
Personal space seems(?) functional on a surface level for both host and client but I haven't tested all the death pits/the exit door
Personal Space has the same desync issues it's always had in Multi where after a while it doesn't generate and the Bracken keeps hugging a player making them invincible
Also iirc I saw someone say you can't escape it rn
Pre sure the message on radar is host-only when looking at someone who's in there
At this rate I would just remove the Personal Space feature

So everytime the Personal Space breaks, some player will become invincible from the start of the round like automatically

in relation to the personal space I noticed that it had a unique use if a player was brought after another into it he will not see the white eyes chasing him and the music

the apparatus which annoys the bracken works very correctly after solo tests

it always ends up having the same Multiplayer issues, I think it's just meant for solo play or smth from a design standpoint

Is Bracken Personal space broken? I didn't notice anything besides that only the first player that dies by the Bracken is send to the bracken space.
And red text is host only
Allegedly you can't escape it rn but I haven't gotten far enough to test this myself
Last I tested it before the current update it was escapable but the hud associated with the escape door was busted and wouldn't show
you had to mash e on the door to leave but the hud that indicated that was missing
I noticed a few times logs errors about the watcher and the walker.
also allegedly the personal space might fail to spawn in sometimes
also i feel like only the first person getting sent is intentional
It looks like a few vents only the host can see and even if you are a client you still can die for the watcher.

Vents can spawn behind shelfs from manor interior. So you can't see the watcher but the watcher can see you.

No thats never happened for us back when we ran the mod. But maybe it was a bug though and it was suppose to 😆
I do wonder what the intended behaviour is but being able to nuke the snare flea instantly with just a bit of mashing on your friend is a bit overpowered so i doubt it

Random.InitState is used too much it breaks other mods, like Lethal Moon Unlocks Discovery mode, which selects a random list of 5 or (configurable) moons when creating a lobby, with this mod enabled they are always the same
i think it can be fixed by just using a local random number generator
He is already trying to fix the mod itself.

Not sure if many people had discovered it but the Walker had another secret to him that sent players to another place that was a maze. Which would probably be the dungeon generator as it was pretty big and trippy. Was not easy pulling off getting sent there. I had helped him test the feature a long time ago, but I have never seen anyone actually talk about it after the remastered update dropped with it.

The top 2 are probably for the watcher which is why it errors without the fix in NicheTweaks when the watcher is disabled

Anyone else have the floppy disk, computer, and posters just randomly decide to no longer appear, like ever? I haven't changed any configs and did a full reinstall + save wipe. No longer get the boot cutscenes on fresh saves either.
I'm gonna guess this is just Diversity being Diversity. Maybe I did change a config somewhere and it triggered some weird incompat. I just wanted to know why all of these things vanished suddenly, as how tf could posters & cutscenes be related.
But just learned I have to turn posters off anyway, so done that and added no floppy. Hopefully no other mod/config has screwed Diversity entirely, I'll have to test.

yeah so diversitys kinda in life support atm
heres how you make the mod work properly, part of it at least
- disable posters. this breaks everything
- install diversitynofloppy. the floppy disk thing kills performance and is super bugged
- install nichetweaks and config it if you're going to disable the vent watcher, otherwise the game will softlock when trying to start a game
- keep an eye on the hydrogere & bracken revamps. if anything weird happens with those two enemies, or hydrogeres start moving maneaters, its those 2 you gotta turn off
diveristynofloppy also removes the computer
for that content youll just have to join the wait on an update
Gotcha. I'm just trying to troubleshoot at the moment why the computer, disk, and posters suddenly vanished before anything was changed at all.

the shrimp enemy breaks the ship monitor and suits for no apparent reason

- weights dont work, you cant change the frequency of watcher's spawning
- disabling the watcher via diversity's config cuases a softlock whenever the ship lands, so you need nichetweaks

Update on my og problem: I just reset all my configs which I was planning to do anyway and the floppy/posters reappeared. So some config setting in some mod must've caused it.
I don't care enough to troubleshoot it, but I needed to know it wasn't diversity itself; well, it is, but you know what I mean lol.

- Walker mind needs fine-tuning so that it's easier to get into without fudging configs to make walker manifest often and take ages to stairs you
- Relevant dungeon for above should be generated async because it causes freezing while loading into moons atp
- Watcher, unless already fixed by chaos, needs the testing thing turned off that guarantees it, and whatever's causing it to brick games by disabling it fixed
- Bracken unsure of the current state. Check flashlight dimming, light flickering, personal space on both host/client thoroughly, radar camera on someone in personal space, fix walkie voice line on kill with appy anger
- Ghost girl maybe optimise custom pass used for isolation effect
- Check hygrodere for jank with picking up items - does it still pick up babies?
- Check snare flea, i think that had issues at one point but idk what exactly
- Network speaker voice lines so everyone hears the same thing
- Optimise sound visualiser on floppy reader so it's not constantly computing even when not in use, also config to disable it
- Mod re-initialises rng in several places and breaks the rng of a lot of other mods. Maybe figure out where this happens and how to fix it
oh also
- Door into walker mind (the odd door) still spawns when walker is disabled iirc, if this is no longer the case then good but it should not persist in that scenario
- I've seen an extremely rare issue where the save file that determines if the mod's intro cutscene has been viewed or not can get corrupted and prevent the game from loading properly until it's cleared somehow. maybe get an error check on that?
Trying to think of any more I'll mention them if they occur
- obv the posters thing just for completion's sake kill the networkobject if not done already
- walker mind could use more content than a floppy disc but that's for after mod is fixed
Spore lizard and menu music are afaik the only things I can guarantee 100% work right

The main optimization issues with the Ghost Girl, Walker Dimension etc are cus of GraphicsAPI replacing HDRP iirc, if there could be a way to not need to do all those shenanigans that would be the most ideal

Ik the stairs does some post-processing same with the hallucination/mind filter but afaik the ghost girl isolation pass is the main one in regards to being heavy?

With the Sponge shader it might not even be needed anymore, I think the main issue was that the vanilla post processing would get disabled so he essentially reinjected it in a sorta scuffed way iirc

A few vents only the host can see, and some vents can spawn behind shelves and boxes from the manor and mineshaft. And the watcher hand shadow can be see behind the vent.

The floppy disc reader runs an audio visualisation thing CONSTANTLY no matter if it's actually needed in the moment or not

Out of curiosity is this when the bracken is angered by standard vanilla means (hitting it, staring too long) or by the means diversity added (breaker, which is currently broken, and apparatus)
because the means diversity added are what should be triggering it for 90 seconds

Afaik it goes up passively when you have the walker in your fov, are targeted by it or by a pretty big chunk when it touches you
When it's sufficiently high and you're actively experiencing one of those hallucinations that's when you can go through that door
good luck getting it that high in normal play tho, it's weirdly done in such a way that you're probably never gonna see it without config fuckery etc.

idk if the touch amount actually does anything bc it's set to one but my friend still didn't get teleported
so i might set the amount back to 2 and maybe set the stair multiplier to a whole number?
we work off being naturally faster than regular lethal since it kinda feels like a slog without it so we'd be fine with extra length
Lurk time means time between it showing up/picking targets/etc.
Touch amount does actually do something it's just that it technically takes one more touch than whatever you put in there
Once it's touched as many times as that touch amount is set to next it shows up it will book it to its next target and take them to the stairs when it nabs them
stairs too long i'd make shorter personally
otherwise they're too long for someone to hypothetically leave on time

Overall? extremely. in the case of specifically what you mentioned the posters break multiplayer when enabled, the watcher is a guaranteed spawn ignoring its spawn weights and breaks landing if it's disabled without the fix in nichetweaks
But there's way more that just does not work as intended
