Blob revamp is an oversight that wasn't fixed probably

at this point I think the model for the watcher should just not be visible before it attacks and should start off small in its grab animation to prevent this from happening
enemy behavior idea: baboon hawks actually do react to noises from things like clown horn, airhorn, cash register, etc
they have a chance to get startled and back away momentarily when you use those items near them
just a thought, could be cool
I don't know if anyone's talked about this but it seems like walking through areas where steam used to be still trigger its hazing effect
They already do
You need to spam it though to have a real effect so clown horns are your best option
Certain actions making them more afraid of you so they’re more likely keep their distance. Things like holding shovels, spamming noisy items, being in a group, and having a dead baboon hawk nearby.

Diversity seems to have a small incompatibility with ButteryFixes' "Randomize default seed", causing the first day seed to always be the same
Quick way around I use is to restart the run with darmuhs terminal
glad to know someone gets use out of that command 
Well my pack does get a lot of use out of it, I'm forcing players to only have 3 moons available at the start, so a bad starting seed (cruiser moons or weather conditions) will have players wanting to restart.
Only "issue" is the restart doesn't allow furniture lock to move the furniture back, the restart forces furniture back to default positions
Not sure how furniture lock works but I could try invoking a custom event for them to subscribe to if it helps solving that specific issue
it's not a huge problem, I just noticed resetting also seem to bypass suitsaver leaving players with orange suits after a reset

If I remember right my reset command just calls a certain amount of stuff from the vanilla reset (skipping the fire cutscene)
all good, as I said not really an issue
Still, can make that event for other mod devs to listen to and maybe see if I can change some things (like resetting suits)

Thank you for the update ! Something I've noticed : The bracken chase duration now seems to only affect the chase duration after turning on the lights on the breaker box after the bracken turned them off, and maybe the apparatus pulling chase duration, but not the chase duration when one angers the bracken by looking too much at it.
From what I remember, this chase duration config used to also work on angering the bracken by staring at it. I would love it if we could configure it because I find that the vanilla chase duration after a stare down is too short (like 2 seconds), whereas the mod chase after angering the bracken via breaker box or apparatus is 99% a death sentence because of how fast the bracken is in these situations.
Do you think we could allow the chase duration config to also affect the "angered by stare" chase duration ?

This definitely needs tweaking. My eyes just hurt after this. The flashes fade too quick, occur too periodic, and last too quickly. And I don’t even have light sensitivity like some other players might have
I just ran into a bug where the walker was fully visible from afar... and he kinda just got stuck in place for a couple seconds. I think it happened because the player it was targeting died just as it was about to grab him.
if you added a blinking animation that plays all the time and just had this pop in that would make it way more creepy since you would have gotten used to the blinking

i had a feeling it was gonna be part of the Walker. my guess was that blinking effect would start to occur when a Walker spawns and/or while within proximity of the Walker, and the Walker would only be visible for those few seconds while blinking
and maybe it'd only be scannable while you see it in that blinking state, which would make it trackable for a few seconds

He's already working on a config option for it.

What I'm cooking will be the biggest thing I've made for LC. In terms of exploring, mistery and all.
Jokes aside, i think you should make the new enemies in diversity and the vanilla enemy reworks a separate mod so people don't have to change the vanilla enemies. But then again they could just disable the changes...
Personally, I think there should be an option to disable the animation/camcorder that plays upon waking up in the stairwell. It’s odd that you have a camera and only use it for the stairwell, plus you already have a wake up animation you could use in place of the one used when waking up in the stairwell.
No point in separating it. Kind of defeats the purpose of the Diversity mod. They can just disable it in configs if they don't want it like you said.
It adds to the mystery of the Walker. Plus it's so cool and unique.

Walker canonically takes you to the content warning dimension. Thats why you have a camera all of a sudden
How it should happen in my opinion.
Option A: the first time the Walker touches you, your UI, night vision, and scanner are broken for 1-2 minutes, plus you now have a crack in your visor. The next time the Walker gets you, you’ll be sent to the stairwell.
Option B: once inside the stairwell, your UI is gone and you have a crack in your visor (and your scanner is broken). you’ll have a limited time to get out before you die. You’ll gradually take damage, in which more stuff appears on the walls and your visor gets more and more cracked. If you make it out, your visor is no longer cracked and your UI and scanner return.
The mod should crash your game when you get kidnapped by the walker if you dont have content warning in your steam library

I think it would help with immersion. The Walker messes with your screen when near you, so why not take it a step further and penalize you for letting him touch you? Most of the time, I’ve been sent to the stairwell near the end of the day, around 10pm

On the wiki page for the mod it states it doesnt have a physical body. The little girl messes with your head and mental state but not a physical object like your equipment. She flickers the lights but cant destroy them
Yet, it messes with our screen, meaning it is messing with our equipment, thus why I suggested we could take it a step further and temporarily damage said equipment

Thats the thing, using imperium you could force it to happen by spawning a walker and just waiting
the dimension exists and would teleport you, obv you couldn't escape or use it properly but before v50 the dimension worked it was just too rare to find

I got a fairly big pack though 100+
Could be some other mod adding new ambience but regardless it's pretty good ambience
It's good ambience indeed but it occurs a bit too often for my taste and IMO it doesn't fit the watcher if that's it doing the noise. But maybe it's caused by something else I'm not sure yet
Also wanted to report that the Blob deals no damage when revamped ! I can stand in it for whole minutes and not take any damage

Hey, not sure if this problem was pointed out, but for some reason:
- Bracken is unable to physically kill me nor my teammates
- Snaps our necks without killing us, gets stuck and keeps snapping (crunches, immortality?)
- Whoever gets stuck in the middle of the glitch is rendered completely immortal
Not sure what could be causing this as we are not using any mod that touches Bracken in any way. (Except for adding a few re-textures as variants)
I'm wondering if the reskin is the cause. I'm running into the same problem too.

I have disabled Diversity's Bracken revamp due to this issue, so, if you want to test it somehow, you'll have to re-enable it.
Also, is that weird corridor thing a part of the mod? My guys were getting teleported somewhere and repeatedly reported being stuck in some kind of hole for the rest of the round.

I've had him nearly kill me several times already. I think the reason why a lot of people never run into him is because they tend to avoid walking too close to vents to begin with.
I only ever saw him on the other side of a vent when there's 2 paths right besides one another
Running into this as well. Bracken killed one person and then I got stuck in a kill loop where I would just be standing there unable to move and he would snap my neck over and over.
The immortality was fun at first. But then I started getting a weight glitch where I would stack on phantom weight. (Not from Diversity) After being permanantly 400 lbs, it started to become a curse 😦
I figured out how to fix it. If you become immortal and wish to die, run at a Bracken and yell "FIX ME". He will teleport you to his dimensional hallway and you will become mortal once more.

might be a dumb question but is this mod compatible with lethal quantities? last time i used it my console was spammed with spawning errors. this was also before the big v60 update so i just wanted to make sure
I can't speak for the mod author, but I use Diversity and LQ in tandem and I haven't had any issues.
So Diversity will change to Diversity Remastered soon. I'm currently recoding the mod entirely.

hey, I'm trying to debug an issue emotesapi seems to cause in the stairwell tile, but I don't really know how to find it, is there a method to finding them consistantly?

yeah seems lowering the near clip plane very rapidly causes the post processing to become just full dark
0.05 is the default, changing it to 0.01 makes it almost impossible to see already
I only change the near clip for the eventuality of someone making an emote that makes you tiny, which normally causes clipping with the fps helmet. I'll just find a workaround for now since no one has actually made emotes that do that

I use depth calculation and it might interfere with it perhaps.

Diversity will be entirely RECODED. Thus any mod made by others with compatibility will most likely BREAK (For those referencing the Diversity mod directly into their mod). Though compatibility that I've coded for your mod should remain unchanged.

Since Diversity has been recoded, any mods that has been made with compatibility with Diversity will most likely break! Unless it's a not a direct compatibility then it should be fine...

Diversity has been recoded entirely, being more performant, optimized, and as well future proofing it for an easier development. Some long awaited fixes has been done too!

An option for the watcher to only appear at open vents, so it’s more easily visible. Another way of doing it would be having the vent open whenever a player is getting close
Thumpers and Jesters knock doors off their hinges if they’re moving fast enough
Flung doors can kill players
i think the fiend enemy can knock doors off their hinges right? unless something else allowed doors to come off their hinges, it would be nice to have more mods with that feature

The walker can knock down doors, so all IntegrityChaos would have to do is code in the check for whether the monster is moving fast enough. I would love for coil-heads to knock down doors, but I worry they would be OP.
He should also have the flung doors despawn after a few seconds of being knocked off

Bracken personal space seems to have some issues, players getting to the end of the obstacle course weren't released (maybe intentional?) and clients other than the host would lose frames until they reconnected after getting grabbed by a bracken

I'm using a mod where I can set the spawn weights for each monster but the watcher isn't listed.

Is there any counterplay? Besides the obvious listen out for growling.
The growling feels too subtle for something which is usually an instant kill
for the watcher? from what I've seen, the vent it spawns in glows on scan
You can literally hear it breathing really freaking loud and see it's eyes glowing from vents. It's not exactly subtle.
Counterplay really just comes down to you either avoiding vents (which is safe in general) or just sprint past all of them if you can't avoid them.
Watcher is not fast enough to kill you even if you run past him, he's only gonna get you if you're literally standing in place or walking
TLDR: Avoid vents or sprint past them, pick your poison
avoiding vents isn't really reliable since there's one in basically every room i think
Vents aren't in every room but they are relatively spread out yes. Still, in most locations they spawn you can usually avoid walking too close which essentially renders watcher a non-threat tbh
You can hit the vent to make it go away.
Though there's a small chance of being angry instead
I've never tried hitting the vent. Will have to remember that one!
