#Bigger Battery
38 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I just ran a test with the pro flashlight, one without the mod enabled and one with.
Pro Flashlight
Without - 5:00
With - 6:40
That is with the default config settings, if you feel like you want a greater increase definitely modify the config setting. I didn't want to completely destroy the base game feel by expanding it too much by default and set a reasonable default.
i see, i figured the change from 300 to 600 would double the battery time
cause it makes sense that way
I agree generally it doesn't make any sense, when I started creating the mod I figured a lower value would be better as the field modified is named batteryUsage.
I'm also realizing I might have switch the normal and pro flashlight...
I will push a patch today
Patch v1.0.2
- Fixed error where Flashlight and Pro-Flashlight were switched.
a lot more noticable thank you
2 questions, is the zap gun on there and how do I edit the config settings?
This is my first time messing with mods really.
Do you have the mods manually installed or are you using a mod manager?
Manually.
Do you have a folder called config inside of the BepInEx folder?
Yes, leads me here.
Have you run it with the Bigger Battery mod loaded? It should have made a config named this
I haven't downloaded the mod yet but im planning on to once I figure out how to at the very least change values.
Ah, okay! The zapgun is called the patcher tool in the config, if you want a longer battery life for it you just need to adjust the value for PatcherToolBatteryUsage = 100 to be higher.
And that'd be done through the notepads inside of the config file?
Yes
Alright, thank you so much!!!
That does seem much simpler but Im not sure if I want something like a mod manager on my computer. Is the mod manager itself complicated and require a lot?
Both of the mod manager available are very similar and super simple. Theres r2modman and Thunderstore Mod Manager. r2modman is just an executable you run to install and thunderstore mod manager can be installed through overwolf. They're just generally a recommendation as it makes updating and installing mods way faster. Theres some more about r2modman here https://lethal.wiki/#/installing-r2modman
totally optional though
Hm, alright, well thank you!
Just downloaded it, do I need to get bepinex on it aswell?
I'll just get it aswell.
You will also probably need to remove all the old mods from your games install, they might conflict. The mod manager doesn't put any files in the games folder directly
I just did, thanks for the insight though.
If you have any issues with it #help-and-troubleshooting would be the best place to ask, lot of helpful people in there
I will, and my god is this so much easier now aswell.
Thank you so much.
np, enjoy
