As my friends and I squad up at the main screen (before loading in a server). It would be a nice QOL, if we can see each other’s status. As in server selected, ready up, etc.

I didnt see the info relating to server or ready status. Just whether they were online and same faction as me. Unless I missed it?

That's the friend's widget, but you have a "squad" drop down where you can normally see that.
And I say normally because since a few updates ago it stopped working for me, I always see myself offline and it tells me my squad mate are in main menu, when it should give me their ready status. But that's a bug
