Ever since i bought this game, Ive dealt with this, being told it was me va monitor, which i know was bullshit, i have gotten a tandem oled and still this issue is persistant. I have a 9800x3d 9070xt red devil limited ed and 32gb of 6400mts, ddr5, 2tb samsung evo pro. Please, I have the supporter package before this game even realeased and i feel so let down that i see people with lower quality setups not having this issue...

If it's the foliage, then it's likely somethin in post processing, most likely anti-aliasing or DLSS. I stopped getting a ton of issues like this when I swapped to TSR for my anti-aliasing method. Your sharpness could also maybe be too high.

All of the foliage flickers when the mouse makes any sort of movement
the monitor on display is 165hz but my new one is 240hz and the same issue persists connected to it

If you look at the bench for example. all the foliage on screen flickers with each mouse movement its extremely disorentiating due to how much foliage is ingame @wary raven @lavish dew @hearty nexus

Even with everything on the lowest settings, the flickering on all foliage persists
Look at the grass on the floor its litteraly flickering as the camera is in motion

everywhere has trees/grass, everywhere i look i get this effect no matter the quality or settings, then i watch a video of someone on a 6900xt and they have none of this, its killing me dropping 150£ before the game even released and so far ive really not had an enjoyable expereince despite replacing my monitor

the second video, its only present on the smaller grass on the floor, but much less at lower quality, but once i go to a poi with grass its making me physically sick
honestly its killing me having dropped so much on a monitor for it to plug in and launch into the issues i was told my va monitor were caiusing
just impossible to focus on the game what soever, ive only ever made it like 10 levels every wipe before feeling ill , i think ive used my package weapons like 2 times, and most times ive quit with nausea and lost my gear

so the video does look less artifact-y but i wont lie i still cant see flickering. theres only 1 instance of flickering i saw which was the red flowers when you ran over to another planter with a tree/bush in it

given you say its on the edges of the grass it does sound like some color or AA thing

then when it stops it takes on a lighter color almost
and its like black outlining around all foliage when moving
it feels like flickering because grass strads are short when out on a mission
so when moving the color chanign/outlining is like flickering and distracting to the eyes
do you happen to have an amd gpu? i am hoping i dont need to go and replace my card just for this game as an examplke because of fsr/dlss

no i run a 4090. given that i cant see it in your video though id assume its not really inherent to the game, gpu or monitor but more smth specific to you (idk if you ever had non family members see this happening on your monitor)

also wonder if maybe the monitor just has some sort of motion smoothing on that cant deal with the particular way GZW does grass
another a bit mysterious point is how you can see it in the recordings you sent earlier but we cant for example. the monitor recording from the phone shows it quite clear, and now that ive actually seen the issue i can tell you that all the videos before (even the first one) do not look like that at all to me.

i think you are right and maybe the monitors settings neeeds to be changed i will try and mess with it, i watched the video from my phone and sorry you are right the game is actually rendering fine, so something is going on with both monitors and TV i am starting to assume

yes, the Va panel i used before was the g55 g5 34 inch UW in the videos above, i am just setting up by desk properly with a mount for my newer 5k monitor but it was showing th same issues, im guessing im going to neeed to change settings for gzw as i really dont have issues in other games i dont think so anyway

also as a sidenote i dont think this would be cause by a VA panel alone as my odyssey g9 and my current monitor both are VA panels and dont have this issue

believe it or not 60 hours i lived with this on a tv/va panel until i got this better monitor assuming it would fix the issue

no then it would be in the recordings
the caputered video from the game directly is basically what your gpu renders
so either a monitor setting or a setting in your GPU panel (adrenalin in this case) causes the way its actually sent to the monitor to be weird
