Whats everyone's thoughts on adding noise traps to the GZW? Of course after the audio in game are improved on first. Something similar to Hunt: Showdown where it reveals the players location through sound cues if they are not taking precautions when moving around the map. We have a noise already where birds fly away when players shoot. How about making those birds flying away sound and a visual cue of them flying up out of trees when a player is running through the forest too quickly or creeping through certain bushes that would have possible birds in them? This bird sound cue could only be able to be heard within a 60m or so radius for other players and of course get louder the closer you are to the location of the sound cue. The visual cue could be seen when running across a field and into the forest and would be able to be seen from 150m or so away. The AI already do this essentially. When they see a player, they start to yell and look in the direction the player was last seen at. Also maybe a group of monkey that start making noise if you pass through certain areas in the forest or dogs in towns. Many other sounds could be added but I just listed a few examples.

We're starting to get some of this. Things like alarms do just that. Things like turning on power in TB is another indicator.

I imagine we're just scratching the surface to how these exact sorts of signals you're asking for will be introduced into the game.

Definitely forgot to mention those two examples and very much enjoy the added effect they bring!

Related (but a separate topic) are the interactive puzzle elements. TB power is one example. But the water pump puzzle is another. Even the generator to power the keypad to open the shed near the wind turbine is a smaller example.

All of these overlap in some way and I'm excited for where this is headed.
