Belt bags are currently loot only but is lighter than any belts in the game, while also providing 1x4 slot, competing with the Type 2 belt.
I think it'd be better if they were buyable but the quick access functionality taken away, as belt bags are more like fanny packs, which are just smaller backpacks.
It makes sense rigs, belts and pockets are quick use because realistically you can reach into them and grab you want easier without much hassle, while with backpacks and belt bags, you'd have to open the zipper first then find what you want.
#Belt bags should be buyable, but no longer offers quick access

I use mine for things like a suture kit - which can't fit into your pockets. This would require you to run those in you rig?
Hard pass.
There's still LCB and Type 2 which has 3+ slots.
I don't think fanny packs are really designed to be quick access realistically.
I agree.
Otherwise, the equipment should have some drawbacks. Otherwise, there will always be one obvious choice (smallest size/largest capacity)...
I wouldn't despise it if:
- Hip packs should have larger capacity, without quick access.
- Tactical belts should offer quick access but be smaller.
And maybe make this belt more slots but behave like a wallet (only money, cards and valuable items)...
bro that's what Mini First Aid Kit or Hard Case First Aid Kit are for
so you wanna
take the time to open up your backpack, TAS, and at times your external rig/PC to use or store supplies every time
yes?
You don't have a problem with a backpack, so why would you have a problem with a fanny packs?
It's a trade off for increase carrying capacity
Also, consider that this could works both ways, and some backpacks (like this backpack, which is currently only available as a boss drop in Pha Lang) may provide quick access at the expense of less capacity or weapon slots.
a longer time to open somehow because it has a bigger carrying capacity is stupid of the item in question is meant to be quickly accessible
and i just highlighted problems with all forms of storage what are you on
If everything is the same (quick access) and only differs in size, what's the point of using anything other than the largest available?
Decisions matter (just like every move matters 😅 ) only if we can actually make them, and unifying everything makes the system very linear.
the fact that you get more storage capacity out of them and that theyre increasingly expensive, and that some come with natural restrictions like you cant put x in y
why should a small med kit have an advantage for a medium sized one
why should a small backpack have an advantage over a quick access medium sized one
why should a larger fanny pack be shunned to shit because its slower to use than a tac belt when the fanny pack can store more and has a big ass zipper to just open it
if youre gonna argue that ee should have a timed to open system for packa then at least be consistent with it and go on case by case basis instead of punishing shit simply because theyre bigger and size and somehow that definitively needs an artificial disadvantage
For the same reason that the largest backpack in the game doesn't have a weapon slot.
You have to decide between a larger backpack and a slightly smaller one with a weapon slot, and in my opinion, this is important for the gameplay.
This gives me two choices, not one. At a certain point, money stops being a factor in decision-making, and the only thing that matters is effectively identifying your needs.
