This suggestion is a replacement of the current red circle on the map when there’s PvP.
This suggestion aims to combat a couple of pain points in the PvP community. The red circles on the map eliminate any sort of coordination. Anyone can see where flanks/pushes are happening. My idea would be that circles can only be viewed from a “intel map” located inside the COP’s only in the region you own the COP. For example if Mithras is in control of Falcon they can go to the map in the COP and see if there’s any PvP going on in the Airfield Location.
To incentivize each faction to control COP’s I think there should be very very small buffs that are attributed when owning. I’ll use Falcon again. If you own Falcon your sell value for items to vendors could +5% or when crafting happens it could be 50% chance to craft additional items.
I’m unsure if I’m a fan of COP’s being flipped over and over again as I feel like this doesn’t reward a faction for winning an engagement or fight. It’s more of a battle of will. Whoever gets tired of running back to the COP to flip it loses. This is a very bad loop and I think could be combatted by just having a hour cooldown on COP’s being able to flipped.
Another idea instead of the hour cooldown would be there’s two times during the day where COP’s can be flipped. This would be awesome for faction wide coordination and planning. Think about it, LRI sees that a COP near Tiger Bay is owned by Mithras. They get together in base camp and think about a strategy to attack so they can own it and the buffs it gives for 12 hours. On the other hand Mithras knows how important this COP is and comes up with a strategy to defend.
I’m super open to discussing this and making these ideas better. What do yall think?
