#Have crates respawn when locked room's door locks again

Been running into that issue as well. I agree dude.
Overall, I agree but I think this suggestion should be refined more.
Currently, loots respawn regardless of player presence or door state.
Loot/door should only respawn when:
- There are no players in proximity
- If behind a locked door, respawn together with the door
- Timer starts when the door is first opened, and future interactions don't count
- Containers and loose loot lose their individual respawn functionality if behind a locked door, so they all respawn at once, which is when the door itself respawns
Wouldn't that mean there will be places where loot never respawns?
Because people can't control who's passing through
Player presence would halt the timer, not reset it
Ah I see. I think there are some places (like MS villas/hotel) that almost always have a player there
And if those places don't have a player then it'll likely respawn anyway with the current system
Could also work like the timer doesn't halt but only run in the background, and respawns as the player leaves
It's mainly the frustration of items partially respawning, I've seen a few times where I had to wait 10 minutes after opening a room to see the items spawn
hence why the suggestion
As far as I can tell, the order of respawns is as follows:
- Random loot
- Locked doors
- Safes and containers
Not sure how AI respawns rank on that list
The point about player proximity can be a bit counterproductive as people visiting in-between respawns would be further punished than they are now. This would delete loooting for scraps (which is where it's at rn).
