I suggest that, for missions, players shouldn’t be required to obtain keys to open doors. Missions should be completable without relying on key or access card drops.
Spending time trying to get a key drop just to continue a mission isn’t enjoyable. Many players have jobs in real life, and when you already spend time killing AI without getting any drops, it becomes frustrating. Being stuck on a mission for two hours just because of a missing key is not motivating.
I propose an alternative: introduce a system where the mission handler (like Gunny, Lab Rat, etc.) could provide the key in exchange for money, but with reduced XP and reputation. This would allow players to progress without being blocked.
Keys could still be useful for rare or high-value loot, but not as a requirement that prevents mission progression.
