#PIP scopes for no reason?

I think you can "unblur" it if you use free cam while aiming
not realistic and thats what they are going for
yeah it's super realistic to have my eyes not work because I've got a gun infront of them?
More realistic than having your peripheral vision somehow magically optain zoom
Human eyes can't focus on the picture in the scope and on the picture ahead of us. That's why the picture around the gun is blurred when looking thru the scope. Get your finger close to your face, focus eyes on it, anything in the background is going to be blurred.
If that’s your argument then we don’t need pip scopes at all..
Just blur it out anyway

Zero reason for the current implementation if this is how it’s going to be fir the sake of rendering two images and one is useless

That would be cool if when we are free looking around while aiming with the scope the surroundings (outside picture) gets sharp and the scope picture gets distorted into crescent vignetting or so.
Human eyes process more information in the centre of vision than in peripheral vision. The image outside the centre is less sharp, has less colour, but is more sensitive to movement—just speaking in terms of how eyes and brain perception work.
When we look into a scope, we are looking at a projection of reality within a small area. We have to focus to keep it within the proper eye relief distance and angle, and the brain concentrates hard to maintain focus there, it is also focused harder in the centre of the vision -the part we process sharper and better for clarity in real life. It is also harder to shift focus inside the scope and outside the scope comparing to red dots. I believe this is why the game simulates outside as blurred with scopes.
When using red dots, the image in the frame is the same reality as anything around it - not an optical projection within a device - the red dot is just an overlay. The brain doesn’t have to focus as hard to keep it in sight, so we can perceive more details around us, allowing much easier micro-scanning of our surroundings compared to when using a magnified scope -less work for brain, hence simulated as no blur outside the red dot.
Also, the blur is saving a lot of date processing - an optimisation trick if you will, to save on GPU when it comes to PiP.
And we don't get this "zoom the whole picture in our face, like in other games.

but then you still get the zoom, whats the point of blurring stuff out if you get information of something moving 200m+ away that you would never be able to in real life by using peripheral vision
