#Concern over more loot exclusive items

I hope that I can still make a kitted out ddm4 or normal m4a1 from just vendor purchases. Having to go out and hope I find a grip or sight or whatever would be highly annoying and kill a good amount of the fun for me. I don’t mean the highest end items. Just a grip or sight and a suppressor. It would also kinda hurt solo play if all the gear that helps make solo play viable is locked behind high tier places where a team is almost required if you don’t have the gear to solo it. Not necessarily a concern but maybe something to keep in mind. We obviously don’t know to what extent which items are loot exclusive yet.

With what is in the game today, there is no area that's truly off-limits to solo players.

Maybe Ground Zero will change that up, but we're so far away from it being in-game that it's not remotely worth worrying about right now.

But either way, there will always be really good gear available from leveled up vendors. You just might miss out on the tiptoppest tier that is loot only.

And that feels like the right balance to me.

Idk how I feel about high tier loot being open world only. I don’t think it makes sense logically for pmcs to send their operators out with no chance to buy high tier loot. Also not sure why the people in these regions would have stockpiles of western gear, assuming that’s the kind of stuff that would be open world loot only

At worst, the state of vendor gear will be on-level with 0.3 Winds of War during 0.4 Spearhead, but from what I've seen from the devlogs, vendor inventories will be better quality than WoW, and currently, just Level 2 across all vendors is more than enough for any area in the game, and higher levels just makes things easier on you

0.3 Winds of War is the current Major Patch, so I'm referring to the current Vendor inventory as the worst case

while i have your attention... are most of the new items world loot only now or are a significant portion of higher tier loot that is currently available in the vendoes going to be world loot only? i feel like i should just wait and see lol but im so curious
