I'm not advocating for insane noodle arms on PMCs, I quite like how this game doesn't have exaggerated sway when moving while aiming with a 1x. But I noticed how freakishly steady the PMCs can hold their rifles while moving with ACOGs and LPVOs. I also think their should be a much higher aim sway penalty when moving+crouching at the same time (Only when moving, if you are crouching and standing still the sway should remain manageable). Considering this game is aiming for realism I don't find it believable that you can hold your rifle this steady while moving with scopes.
#Weapons need more sway when aiming while moving (moving with magnified optics and crouch-walking)

0.3.5 is what you're looking for lol
Already coming soon™
coolio
I just hope they actually manage to balance the scopes (contrary to what people will have you believe, dropping down to 30 fps when you aim down a scope is NOT in fact a balancing decision)
Its due to dual rendering PiP
Less effect if you dont run major upscaling
Fps drops are always happening when pip is used, not possible to avoid. If it's getting too big to bear - upgrade your pc rig.
This was better in 0.3.5 as well, or the base performance was increased which made the PIP FPS drop less pronounced
The guns after 0.3.5 still feel way to stable. There needs to be some more sway when walking around
I agree. Plus holding the rifle (without aiming) also just looks weird. Your character holds it so steady I sometimes wonder if his arms locked up from some jungle parasite or some shit.
Sometimes my fps goes up when I use a scope.
looks like youre not using a scope but some kind of holographic sight (not anough zoom i guess). then PIP is not taking place, you still have 1 source of frames generating from 1 camera. Im talking about scopes, where frames inside a scope vision are one set of frames (zoomable ones), and the frames around a scope (not zoomable) are from another rendered camera. having 2 cameras rendering image means always fps drops - its additional work for engine and GPU.
That was a sniper mosin with stock optic.
so not a scope right?
Sniper mosin has 3.5x scope, I just forget the name of it right now.
The PU or something with the special mount.
You just can't see the body of the scope at the top corner of the screen because I have an ultrawide monitor.
but is the image more smooth? im pretty sure not, its just a counter. generally by rendering technique its not possible to have more fps when using pip scopes. its just not possible to have 2 cameras rendering frames simultaneously and have the image more smooth. maybe you had some lucky preferences in this exact spot, or app showing you fps counter went a bit crazy. you may have good rig enough to not see any difference, but there is a difference
