The arm tiredness when you aim a gun for too long should be fixed, they're fixing for the next update the sway because you're character is a trained PMC, but a trained PMC should aswell have strong arms and not get tired for aiming just 30 seconds with a 5kg gun, maybe fix it to 1 or 2 minutes aiming, but 30 seconds or less is barely nothing as you need to be aiming at all times everywhere you go, (i don't know nothing barely about guns and these things, don't punch me in the face if im wrong on something)

Part of it is a balance thing to keep people from being able to sit aiming at one place for a really long time I think. Sometimes realism has to take a wee bit of a step back in order to foster game mechanics. Its a tough balancing act

yeah, it's understandable in PVP, but PVE should be different

Honestly the only difference is think between the two should be just player damage. Splitting the code too far can lead to issues, and theyre essentially the same everything except specifically the PvP stuff is turned off in PvE

#

If they start trying to balance them differently it'd make development of everything much more difficult

yeah true

Its quite realistic. If the gun is more heavy than you can't aim that long like with a pistol or something

It's why I build my weapons for lightness where possible - it's fine having all the toys if you want them, but it all comes with a cost of weight. And boy, do all those potential attachments add a lot of weight.

The other thing to note is the ergonomics stat - I'm not 100% sure on this, but I do think it has an effect on weapon ADS drain, as well as ADS speed.

If you want to try something out stand up and t-pose irl with your palms up. Literally hold nothing, just empty hands and time how long you can do that.
Now add a single textbook and try it again.

Arms get tired quicker than you might realize

Ergonomics is related to arm stamina drain and doesn't really affect ADS speed.

Weapon Handling is the ADS speed attribute.

Your Ergonomics won't be affected by a 60rnd mag or a high powered scope, but your Weapon Handling will.

The Foregrips play a large part in either Ergonomics (arm stamina drain) or Recoil Control.

For example, the Shift Foregrip is the best for Ergonomics (that I know of) at the sacrifice of Recoil Control and the DD Foregrips are best for Recoil Control at the sacrifice of Ergonomics.

I run my Long/Mid Range rifles with Shifts and my CQ rifles with DD's.

There are a lot of variables and your play style might differ from mine, so I encourage experimentation with as much as you can, but this is what I have come up with based on my experiences.

Arm stamina still drys up too quickly, never liked this part of the game, with new more aggressive patterns of recoil its going to be a problem

How long are you holding that angle?! And how bulky is your weapon? If you have every bell and whistle I guess but even playing slow with a basic AK it wont drain too fast to notice let alone run out

Perhaps make the penalty related to gun length as well, not just overall weight.

E.g.. having a 20inch barrel puts more weight out front, which would be harder to hold for a long tine than a short barrel gun.

No experience with this. Just my assumption.

The real problem here is IRL Vs Game balance, i agree its too quick if your comparing to decent experienced shooter IRL but the game balance needs it to be fairly quick, perhaps bracing will fix the worst of it by going prone ( especially with bipod or mono podding on mag ) or bracing against trees/walls/fences/car bonnets etc.
