Please post comments about the General Performance of 0.3.5.0 test 3 here.

This is non specific and based around the whole maps performance with this update.

Example:
Game feels noticeably smoother this patch — getting around +10 FPS overall and frametimes feel more stable, especially in Tiger Bay. No major hitches so far, just the occasional microstutter when loading into new areas.

This patch is noticeably better than 0.3.4.0 however 0.3.3.0 remains as the best version for my performance thus far. The game felt pretty smooth but my 3050ti struggled to exceed 50FPS, and aiming down sights dropped my FPS to 20s and 30s. The presence of NPCs seemed to have a bigger effect on performance than in previous version, though the helicopter ride was smoother.

** Edit: After changing a setting in Nvidia Control Panel and restarting the game, everything has performed much better than in the previous version. Maybe not quite as solid as 0.3.3.0 but very close**

I do not have much more FPS but in current LIVE build i can not play in more than 1 big POI [eg. FN, TB, starting town, MS] because game starts to stutter and playing is very challenging [and stutter shows on RTSS], location like TBC introduce huge input delay and overall very noticeable performance drop. 0.3.5 update fixes the issue with big POI's and i can finally travel between them without performance drops, TBC is semi playable now - noticeable better than in the LIVE build but there is still some traversal stutter when there are some frametime/fps changes that seems to not have any logical explanation in what is rendered on the sceen. There are still locations where you zoom with scoope makes 100% cpu.

1st test run: So far this patch (0.3.5.0) performance was good, just the normal studder when entering a new area for the first time. FPS seemed steady overall and also seemed better when opening inventory. The FPS still dips when looting the AI or crates. Also to note I did not change any of my settings from live build other than FOV from 65 to 60. After making a run through Tiger Bay mall the audio seemed good and FPS was averaging 85 for me. 2nd test run: Started by using "recommended settings" and was getting around 240 FPS but it was causing temp spikes, so I capped it at 144 FPS and that dropped the temps down and ran smooth. I only went to PLA but no stutters or frame drop.

Much smoother performance overall even when on helis, and higher sustained fps near the expected max in more demanding areas. One of the biggest differences is lower VRAM, I can now run 1440p with upscaling and sit below 8GB. All low, 1440p TSR 50% was hovering around 60fps most of the time and it looks much better than being forced to use 1080p display res. TBC/indoors was hitting mid 70s. ADS drops to high 30s-mid 40s. Noticed a bit more texture pop in and slow loading, most obvious when using a surg kit.

Performance about the same in terms of FPS (nothing percebtible) with same settings.

Only real thing I noticed is less/almost no hitching when coming into new areas or when flying in by heli.

On the first test run I noticed a good bump on performance, I was able to run things on high settings and had 120-ish fps with frame gen. Same thing so far with the current test with the auto-set feature being utilized. ADSing didn't drop frames as much so that's a good W right there. TB was def smoother compared to the first test even with a just 1 or micro stutters heading towards the mall.

Similar if not better performance. FPS is similar if not a little higher. Stability has noticeably increased. Still some hitching every now and then like before but much less

#

Auto determine settings lowered my framegen from 4x to 2x and turned DLSS to auto while increasing settings. Sure it may look a little better but the visuals were mostly the same with 100-120 less FPS than my custom settings

Felt good, running 4k with Frame gen on and felt smooth and stable the odd bit of stuttering but seemed to be when I had 2 Server connection / Ping warnings up as there isn't a test server in Oceania😢 Overall definitely a step up well done MFG 🫡

The game is running much smoother now!! I also got some extra FPS. And what i really liked was the "auto-adjust" for the graphic settings. 👍🏻 Thx MFG

Nice performance improvement over here.
Aging rig:

i9 9900K, RTX 2080ti, 1440p 16:9, high settings, DLSS + (AMD) FG, 60Hz monitor/vsync on

Overall 10+ FPS gain (about 60+ -> 70+) - also tested in Fort Narith, didn't test TB yet.
Very stable FPS in general - didn't notice painful hitches
PiP scope still takes a dive (10+ FPS) then stabilizes at general FPS (70+).
More enjoyable perf overall 👍

Tiger Bay is actually playable for me now. Managed to get into the mall and go through it without the audio totally dying as it used to, but a lot of it was cleared out already. Also went through a bunch of the houses outside the mall with no issues. However, with 2x framegen enabled I was pulling around 70 - 80fps, which is a marked improvement over what could sometimes be 20fps, though that could be due to not many AI being alive at the time.

Using the same settings as the release branch I'm getting 200+ fps vs 120-140

runs better then old game build for sure.

ive always played on maxed settings with my fps capped at 144, uncapped it just to see how high it would go on the new build and i gained about 15-20 fps hitting close to 225 in most areas.

The performance is much improved. For example, in TB Mall you can play well and the sound is fixed. The only problem encountered was the dense fog inside the Mall

Felt better. Game was fuzzy at first and then I tried the new auto setting feature and it made the game look nicer and gained a little more FPS.

Something I've mentioned before, I would get a thread/checkered looking screen blip at certain weather points which is darker clouds/light rain and it happened once during my testing otherwise it was a fairly smooth experience.

I think the performance gain is visible in my case. Looks like 10-15 fps gain than with stable build. I had 2 months of break from GZW, but came back before tests started, so Im not sure, but it feels like game runs smoother

on the heli and when aiming down the 1x6 sights there is a drop but FPS overall seems to have when up for sure

I've noticed that now when opening a character view, if the 3D model of anything is loading it happens in a background thread that doesn't block the rendering thread and the game keeps going. Congrats on the fix.

Im finding the performance in 0.3.5.0 really quite good, stable frame rate.
Nothing really to report other than scope flicker.

the mobility has improved too, easier to aim and to stop when running

3440x1440 Ultrawide - Custom Hz set to 230 (helps with the ABL flickering as it's an OLED)

DLAA no FG everything set to max, i think im getting a slight FPS improvement but can't really say for sure just yet, but i very much doubt im the user that the upgrade to UE5.5 was really for, which is no biggie

Still getting drops when scoping in which seems about the same from last time, will try to get to FN or TB to test the drops if there is any but i wasn't really suffering all that bad even before the UE5.5 upgrade due to using FG and 3 times and latency wasn't a big issue even at 3x

Tested out the "auto" feature for graphics, and I seem to get better performance overall. In live, with my own manually set settings i get around 40 - 60 fps average, while in the test with the auto setting, I got upwards of 100+ My system is AMD 5950X CPU, G.Skill 3600Mhz memory @ 64GB Ram, and EVGA 3080 TI for GPU. With the game installed on a 2TB Samsung 980 PRO M.2 SSD (OS is 1TB of same drive). I play the game at 2k.

The framerate is steadier apart from on game start up and taking the heli. The auto graphical function works good for me, and the game looks richer. I've not been playing long so havn't seen a lot of the map. Will have to venture out and see what happens to performance. So far I'm happy with the performance.

Hi, I'm amazed by the performance improvement, especially the smoothness of the game. Before, I often had crashes. And bad frametime. Everything on medium. Now in 3 tests 0.3.5.0 I have everything on high and the game is beautifully smooth, I can't believe it 😄 even the sounds are better. I'm excited, I fell in love with this game again, in which I have played 3337 hours 😄

#

The game crashed about twice during the 4 hours of play, but I don't mind. It's a minor thing. Before that, the game didn't crash at all. But I understand that it's still a test.

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080
GPU DRIVER: NVIDIA 580.65.06
RAM: 64 GB

Auto select put everything at epic and I did see about 10+ frames. However with what foliage is rendered and light that is render it is detrimental in pvp when people will be using medium settings to "see more".

for pvpe its good.

Also using nods, all the nods, dropped frames by about 30-40

i have RTX 4090 and AMD 9800X3D and 64G RAM and with setting "Global Illumenation --> Medium" and other in EPIC (DLSS with DLAA) i got stable 100-120 FPS. in TB Mall it is stable with 100FPS.
using NVG decrease FPS to 70-90 FPS.
my computer is not only for gaming, thus other stuff are installed and i did expect less FPS

I've had one crash so far and put the report in. Apart from that I've had half a second hitches here and there. Generally the game looks and flows really well. FR moves between 90 and 30 but no real jumps. Slows for the heli ride and on loading into the game.

In my opinion, I encourage setting the minimum contrast to 100. This is the only way to encourage the use of NVGs.
