#Add a player market

#1313846680742789231 is something in the discord already, and anything more than a simple trade window is excessive for the game's needs.
I can see both side being good
as far as i love player markets, especially in pve games/modes, i dont thinks its a good idea for GZW. I'd love to deep in my heart, but my mind is telling me no-no, not here
GZW Needs a player market especially if they keep up the habit of removing items from vendors
Personally dislike the idea of player markets, since I do not really want this game to become more loot-centric. Rather have tasks that award special equipment.
If there is a player market, will there be an increase in cheating players? I think the player market can only be open at certain times?
Yes unfortunately player market/auction houses tend to attract RMT which in turn attracts cheaters
so should we use level limits? I think the current levels give poor feedback.
The RMT/Cheater angle. This needs to be screamed. Right now cheating is low because there's no real money to be made, either from streaming (think WZ style pvp) or trading. No player market. Vulture is enough
Yeah... just hard pass on this.
On literally every other game where there has been an auction house or player market, regardless of genre or setting, RMT/Cheating/Exploiting explodes through the roof.
That in turn puts a massive strain on the game studio to combat it (via harsh measures, often hamfistedly) or ignore it till the problem escalates exponentially, putting the game at risk.
I'm sure none of us want that.
sure, keeping all the typical mechanics of extraction games in second plan is vital in my opinion to keep Gzw unique in his genre
Playermarkets could be done well with out fear of major RMT if prices were set in a way like Black desert online uses with a maximum and minimum price and you can set the price in there with only the lowest price listed item being sold.
lets say for simplicity sake a gun you can buy from vendor sells for 10k
the maximum price of the gun would be the 10k with he minimum price being lets say 8k and you have 3 people selling
1 person lists it for 9000 and another for 8500 the third person could list for lower to quick sell or sell for more to try and earn more money when the others sell out.
now if there are multiple on the same price level you can do first come first serve or randomized both would technically work.
Yea I'd say just keep em the same prices as the vendors, but that would work nice.
That way no one can price gauge or try to manipulate the market.
exactly allows you to get more bang for your buck with gear thats worth more to people without most of the drawback
Price caps would be needed. As well as limit the amount of items you can list and you could even limit how often someone can list things for sale. For example, You can list for sale up to X items total every Y amount of hours.
I'd also maybe suggest not being able to sell things that vendors themselves don't offer.
