Currently, the grenade throwing action triggered by the left mouse button makes it difficult to deal with enemies close behind walls. This forces me to risk exposing myself to return fire when engaging enemies hugging walls. Therefore, I hope to see more throwing options added. As a side note, I recall military training materials stating that in indoor combat scenarios, a low throw to ricochet grenades into rooms is more effective than a standard overhand throw.
#Add a low-throw option for grenade throwing actions

100% Agree. We need an underhand toss and a long range throw. Tarkov has it perfectly imo
Agreed, still waiting on it lol
As long as it doesn't make my guy want to kill himself via his own frag grenade.
That must be possible, but I wouldn't blame anyone else for the outcome of dying by throwing a grenade at my own feet and standing nearby. After all, when it comes to grenades and the shrapnel they produce, we should all try to stay away and take cover, right?
It's almost impossible to even do that, I mean with the force you're throwing the grenade overhand, most of the time it's just going to bounce off away from you anyway.
I'm bringing up a habit a lot of games have with grenades where your character, when doing an underhanded throw, your character suddenly regrets life and lowballs the amount of force they need.
So your grenade won't even clear through a doorway.
Oh, it sounds like grenades might not follow the intended trajectory due to model collision issues—might need some practice. But I think using low throws from behind cover to eliminate nearby enemies could still significantly reduce the risks.
I mean, as a true-blooded Grenadier, I have found work arounds, including multiple wall-bounces in YBL and the dreaded "OSTRITCH MANEUVER" to point blank a grenade and then RUUUUUN!
I feel like this is one area MFG could gamify and it would be better than if done realistically. Have a short (3-5 foot) visual indicator of the grenades trajectory when you are getting ready to throw it, and have the strength be adjustable by maybe the scroll wheel.
So it would look like this in my head.
- Pull out preferred spicey pineapple.
- Right click to aim (Scroll wheel to adjust strength of throw/toss)
- Left click to send best regards.

yup. most of the times i use grenades, i just want to toss it into the next room, or just on the other side of the wall i'm standing against, but i have to chuck it 50 yards.
