#Iron Sights DOF

I just hate how my rear sight is blurry
In real life with irons the rear sight is not in focus while you are aiming. That is part of how aperture sights work, the tiny little peep appears to open up as you look through it. It's difficult to model in a video game so devs just make the rear sight a huge open ring and call it a day.
NVG usage makes irons blurry because they have lenses with a focal point set for distance, not close up.
Exactly. It's like focusing a camera lens. If you're focused on an object far away, something in the foreground is going to be blurry and visa versa.
I'm aware, but it extends even to my front sight.
Which makes using carry handle M4s just plain unfun.
Well you're also either focusing on the object at distance or you're focusing on the sight.
When you shoot with irons, you're not staring at them and they're not going to be 100% in focus (front or rear).
Slap on a laser and do the canted point-aim thing with NVG. Aiming down irons with NVGs isn't how this works. I too enjoy a carry handle or other irons, but that's just the reality of it.
I wasnt deferring to with NVGs, I use a laser for NVGs anyhow as it's easier to acquire and aim on targets with an IR Laaer
Im talking in general
