#CHEATERS REPORTS

My only concern would be how much of a strain it'd put on the servers/system having to make a 30 second clip of every pker's kill gameplay to then show it to you.
I'm not an authority on what's hard on the engine, and I think the feature would be useful to catch cheaters, so I'm upvoting, but we just got a fairly optimized experience and I'm not sure if/how that'd mess with it.
Question: Who would get the video for review? The devs? The killed player? The killer?
Of these, only 1 is unbiased, and that would essentially make a full time job for entire teams of people just to review and act accordingly.
If it's being stored on the server "with a delay" then there's no reason for any player to ever see it. You make a report and then the devs get that video as part of the report. You're only reporting "suspicious kills".
If it's the client doing the work, many PCs wouldn't be able to handle it anyway, so that's a non-starter. There's no way an omni-directional record of all players is going be resource-friendly.
But if the client is recording all of that, then someone's going to be able to decode that stream and that actually makes it MORE easy to cheat off of that telemetry.
You want the client to have as little access to data like this as possible - not feed it more.
Mutliplayer systems generally have a system called "server rewind" that is used when managing lag on the server to determine whether a "hit" is valid.
At that point, you're only storing player location and input so a video wouldn't be needed. Just data set aside upon the clicking of the "Report" button that would be used by some member of MFG to review what took place to confirm whether cheating occurred.
With the stored data, the engine can "recreate" the events without the overhead of storing video files.
Usually the segnalations is review from Madfingers , I mean, you watch your killed, in you think that is a cheating behavior you'll do segnalations and mad finger with a team will check and decide for ban or not
I think that could be nice
I'm sorry don't want this to sound rude, but what in the hell does "segnalations" mean.
It mean that dev could check the segnalations and decide to ban the cheaters or not
That's not a definition of the word.
That doesn't help me at all understand what that word means.
Uh.... I don't think it's an english word, and near as I can tell its... Italian? Closest I can get in english is "Signal".
If translating from german or french google says Reports.
I found a pdf in english that was using the word, but it was talking about protecting hardware. I dont think op is using the term correctly, or he may be misspelling another word.
I think in the context it is likely "reports" - a little further googling I found this:
Could be "Segnalations" is intended to be a plural, but only a guess.
@calm spade i think you could implemented a system based on stats where you could looking for player that are very highly for headshot with 1 bullet against the medium of stats of all players? and so you can understood which is the players that are using cheatbot and you could use sistem with big data to check this infos
He also, does not work for MFG. I provided you with supports link in DMs so you could provide this feedback to the correct team.
