Id like to see faction specific equipment / gear that will make gameplay more interesting and gives players the option to hunt for that gear.
Crimson:
-standard US military equipment (M4, M16, M700, M249, M240, etc
Mithras:
-European Military equipment (Hkg36, G3, Mp7, Mg3)
Lamang:
-Russian / Asian equipment (Ak's, Qz's, Pkm, Rpk, Svd, Scorpian, etc)
While it would be cool, perhaps maybe make the other gear available to purchase at a mich higher price when vendors are at a higher level?

Factions being equal is a feature, not a bug.
There's already faction membership imbalance and we know that weapons platforms are not equal. You'd absolutely have the bulk of players flocking to the more powerful/meta choice over the other two options.

rather than gear difference, having apparel (clothes) difference would be welcome for roleplay people

Different apparel would be great, gear with an advantage wouldnt be. It'd cause more imbalance.
For example, with this list, majority would be going Crimson due to the infatuation with the m4

they’d have to balance everything perfectly. If one piece of gear that’s readily available to a certain faction is better in the meta even slightly, that factions pop would quickly become the overwhelmingly popular choice.

I disagree with cosmetic differences as well as faction specific gear.
Mainly camos, faction specific camos shouldn't be added.
