#GLOBAL STOCK LIMITS

I'm not sure...
- personal limits seem to be fair play to some point and brings comfort.
- global limits brings in uncertainty and makes it harder, what I like - adapt and improvise mentality.
I couldn't buy HBPT, so I went looting ammo with SP on me only, build up some FMJ that are fair enough for most jobs in T1 and T2 area, and went back to my tasks.
Also Spectre is way better than ACOG (1-4x vs 4x) and easy to loot in UN Crates.
I feel like the game is designed well, for every problem there is solution, sometime it's just not as straightforward as going to the vendor and spending money.
ACOG is trash. I just don't buy them. You'll pick up a couple with the airfield boss, but I just toss them back.
I'm gonna go a bit off topic but I was shocked PLA Boss doesn't supply tan mags anymore 😦
Yeah he does... I have like 8 of them!
But I've also seen the number vary, so it's possible he could carry zero in his rig? I haven't seen it (I've seen 1 and 2).
When I hit him he had AK19 or 12, I don't remember 😆
I just killed him a few mins ago (dropped the gun).
Do stock limits depends on vendor's level?
On lvl2 Gunny had QDSS NT4 limited, but when I went level up with him, now QDSS NT4 is unlimited to me but RC1 is limited.
That’s interesting. I hadn’t heard anyone else call that out.
Global stock limits suck,.Now that certain items are super rare to get, they're almost always out of stock. Remove this or change to personal limit.
Remove global limits instead adopt personal limits this would ensure
1:so people cant switch servers and just bypass it
2:it would make it so casual players will be able to buy high demand items (guns optics ammo etc)
theres no point in limiting item stocks if someone can just bypass it IMO
I completely skipped over using HPBT because I was able to just get better ammo easier off AI and looting. Yes, there's a solution, but now I have no reason to even touch that ammo and it's content effectively useless to me. Idk, I'd like stock variety but I think personal stock limits that are randomized each reset would be a better approach then just having such a tiny global limit that I can never even get these items because I would rather be playing the game then camp trader resets
This is true - going up a level with the vendor does remove some of the limits on items, but not all. For example, HPBT is still limited at Lvl 3 Gunny, but as you pointed out, QDSS Suppressors aren't.
Between this and some of the frankly odd choices on what parts are available as pre-built only (14.5" AR-15 Barrel and stock M4 gas blocks are a prime example), it feels a little piecemeal - when you have to tear down 4 different prebuilt weapons to build 1 you want, it gets expensive quickly, though you can recoup some costs by selling the unwanted bits still I guess.
They said they added a bunch of stuff, but it feels like they essentially took even more out of the game to me. Even max traders you can't get a standard configuration M4. It's gone.
standard configuration?
Some stocks have limits that are removed on level up, others do not, i think magnified optics may be in the "wont be infinite" club.
They absolutely neutered the traders this go around, half the stuff is loot only now and you can't build a gun from the ground up anymore, you need to purchase already built weapons and take them apart. I really don't know who was in charge of this, but it wasn't a good decision.
The amount of guns you can build from scratch is a narrow list, the Krink is eating well in this regard because you can make them for cheaper than turncoat sells and you get the full suite....but no dust covers for other AKs? Why does Artisan STILL not sell stocks which are STILL CONSIDERED MANDATORY PARTS FOR AKs?!
Why are suddenly dovetail mounted, optics ready, fixed stock AKs suddenly gone? Why does she, on the level you unlock her selling the PU scope for the Mosin, not sell the appropriate barrel and stock to even EQUIP IT?
Quite honestly, every attachment should be purchasable. Why are we assuming that rare as hell gun parts are going to be scattered around the literal boondocks in some area in Vietnam rather than be purchasable at home base for a literal PMC corporation.
Makes no fucking sense imo.
Oh also another weird thing, at level 1, gunny sells 2 Beretta M9s, but one is limited until level 2
Who is clamouring for a Wood Grip Beretta when most of the audience that could have served with one had the polymer grips anyways?
Probably the threaded barrel varient, but still.
It is, and I understand that, but those at Gunny 1 aren't drowning in suppressors
But yeah.... some really, really weird choices about what they stock so far.
Speaking of Gunny being nonsense.....Madfinger what the hell is this lol?
Also why is the MP5 like....the most expensive base gun pre-banshee? Idk I havent unlocked him yet this update, have been Shepherding new players the past several days, but why is even building an MP5 a $2700 expenditure, are you pricing it how HK does?
$9k???? 🤣 🤣
$7.7k if you build it manually.
With Irons.
Pre wipe it was like 800 bucks.
See, that's a more fair price.
Because the MP5SD suppressor alone is....4.5k?
But like....who was insisting the MP5 was a god gun? Who complained it was too strong???
Oh! Also, as you can see there, HPBT is limited stock, as is that $13 a round 9mm round, but M855 is unlimited lol.
MP5 sucks.
Mp5's only lifeline potentially is the fact Xtreme ammo literally grows on trees.
I've a sneaking feeling this is all an overcorrection in response to the fact loot was so scarce at times in 0.2.
With the addition of all the new loot locations in this update, I think the intention is not so much to buy new gear, but to find it already modified to some extent, and then to mix and match.
Problem there is there's very little to mix and match with once you get it back to the FOB/COP.
Yeah, I've barely used traders at all besides meds on lab rat. Things are just way too over priced or stuff I want to use isn't even on traders, and there's some very easily farmable spots for decent gear at my current point in progression (the hidden poppy field and GZ LAF checkpoint by pha Lang airport for example. Got the key for the poppy field the first time I went there and it's such an easy ammo and gear farm). I'd rather save money for containers than spend it, especially since I haven't really been losing gear at all
There's no incentive to really use traders atm, the good items are global stock that's always out at the lower levels and the fun stuff is too expensive to justify really using
I stand by this statement.
I'm in full agreeance there. If they want something to be exclusive, make it the weapons and platforms for modding that's hard to find. No point having an extensive modding system if you have to spend hours searching for the parts to make the build you want to do, and it just makes more sense lore wise
I've been flying gear-depleted players to an LZ, securing the nearby COP if not secured, then going into MS and dropping LAF with an M24 and giving them overwatch while they go pick up a military kit, cover them on the pull out and help them stock up whatever they can't get like extra mags, rinse and repeat until they have a failure parachute from their literal 0 state
Yeah. I don't understand why so much stuff is just... not avaliable for zero reason?
They even removed the VZ Skorpion as a cheap budget corpse run primary. You can't get it unless you kill someone for it, which sucks.
I don't understand why certain weapons and items keep getting removed from traders for no reason
I'm not sure I'd say every part or attachment, but we absolutely should not be needing to rip gas blocks off of guns other than as upgrades. I think there's only 2 for the M4 we can get - one the CQ Gas block and the limited JPGS Gas Block (at level 3 anyway).
Or dust covers for AKs lol
Like...of all the things, Dust Covers
Yeah, it's weird you have to scavenge a dustcover off a pirate gun just to put one on your gun. Makes zero sense
Dust covers you can get away with as it's non vital - it's not great, but usable. Gas blocks mean no gun overall.
I agree
But it just sits wrong with me to rock a gun in such a garbage environment with no dust cover
Hell I have an OPTIC on it but no dust cover!
Anyway, I seriously hope they release a minor patch to rectify some of this - it's definitely an overcorrection as I said.
My 0.3 experimental gameplay footage was just me ranting for 10 hours about the changes to vendors. lol
I think after about 3 minutes they just wrote "Doesn't like vendor changes" and deleted all the recordings.
Yes
level 1 and 2 should not have limits
it's even fucking weirder that hpbt has limits but 855's don't
really weird decision there
So ever since the stock revamp happened in 0.2, Ive put in feedback saying it didn’t make sense logically that the PMCs are more poorly equipped than the LLA and the LAF. With the context of the blockade, it made more sense, but it still just made the game go down this weird tarkov spiral for me and that took away a bit of GZWs charm.
That being said, aside from the pricing not making sense, MP5s are also common loot now thanks to atleast 1 COP defender at the small COPs carrying one; I haven’t actually tried to use them, because I’ve just been selling them first chance as a high value weapon.
For the record, I’ve been using throw-downs my entire 0.3 playthrough. I’ve taken LLA CQA1s and just thrown an 16in barrel on them and calling it a day
When I suggested to make the CQA1 a T1 starter town weapon, it was so after noobs used up all their starter M4s they'd have a cheaper fallback alternative for like $800. I didn't expect them to make the damn things the price of an M4 and make an M4 the price of an FN Scar.
Same thing with regards to the MP5 last build - by the time you unlocked it, it was near useless for the areas you were in.
Now you can get it T1, but it costs a literal arm and a leg to obtain relative to the CQA1, so nobody buys it and just gets the CQ instead (better MOA, cheaper to obtain/operate/upgrade).
And better ammo everywhere. FMJ of all kinds in many UN crates....
Every move matters boi, plan your approach.
don't worry he sells another tier of MP5 for like... 11.5k at lvl 4 lmao
That's some overpriced shit.
thats the reason why nobody uses anything other tahn M4
and still will
because
1:you cant buy anyn proper attachments all are loot only now
2:they are overpriced as fuck
Me: Stealing bot AK
ive never bought any guns from gunny this whole wipe
if you know what you are doing you can progress really fast without losing anything
this just hurts the casuals imo
people like me will no life this game anyway
it would work if they add a (global) global stock limit. now u can just server hop and the whole system makes no sense
I would be cool to add like Faction based stock that is obtainable by doing squad missions to retrieve transports of gear or something like that. Make everything obtainable but not unlimited so that people need to count their shoots and makes they moves matter 😉
I'm going to end up doing a video about it. Not to dog on MFG or anything, but to better illustrate the point and hopefully get better results than we're seeing here.
I agree 💯 that the stock should be individual & not global!
I don't mind running out of something once** I'VE** used up my quota, but when you can't even buy HBPT because it's like rocking horse shit, it gets a bit frustrating.
If you are really committed you can bounce between servers and get stock anyway, therefore cheating the system so individual stock would mitigate this too!
MFG please change this 🙏
Agree...
In my opinion again:
-
Everything is available at vendor, the better the stuff the higher the price. (I don't like the level lock part, especially with the wiping going on)
-
Acog for about 4k at lvl1 was expensive but good, it was the worst scope in the game, but at least you have something as a new player (I have supporters edition, so I am glad i have a scope) as even at 4k native ,lowest FOV , installed reshade and other stuff i have a hard time finding and shooting the brown pixels between the green pixels at 100-200m that is shooting at me.
Is just game back to grayzone after playing a lot other games, and this is the only game that I have trouble with.
At least with the ACOG you can scout the area.
With a daily limit for each player instead of server there won't be a need to server hop or scalping. Leveling op a vendor will increase tou daily limit and or prices.
I am a low level player and I want to buy a gun at 20.000 dollar in total? If i have the money , let's do it, after that I will be broke and If I lose it I have a problem... that's the risk. Or do I buy a cheaper one that is more easier to replace?
Global stock limits make much more sense in all aspects when put on high level traders for expensive powerful items, not for level 1 and 2 basic trader necessities. sBlood being out of stock as an example. Put global stock limits as a % of total concurrent players on the MCX and MP7, vortex and vudu, PVS-31's, etc.
yes
