#Vehicles

We've been told that there's no intentions of adding palyer-driveable vehicles.
Jinx.
And what he said.
Lol no fuel, those Helis use a shit load of fuel AHA
its a game, make it fun, make gas hard to come by or expensive
That's not a GTA buddy
And they all spawn from off-map and they all return to some place off-map to refuel (which we know from pilot voice comms). There's never a time in which they refuel anywhere that we can see.
arma and other realistic shooters have vehicles, i not asking for a hellcat to go 400kmph, im okay with a little beat to shit jeep that goes 35kmph, would be nice to travel from point a-b with out always having to run like a mad man
But this isn't Arma or any of those other games. Just because someone else does a thing doesn't mean you need to do it too.
Devs have also said that they want to actively encourage foot exploration as well... vehicles would fly directly in the face of that.
No thanks.
make them get stuck and sink off road and make them go 35kmph, this would make them only usable on road and would not be the worst thing
If that is the case, then why add them at all? Roads make up only a small proportion of the map relatively speaking, with the vast majority of it mud tracks, foot paths and rice paddies in open areas, and jungle the rest of it.
I think the only way this would work if there were other types of AI-controlled vehicles in game, like a Hilux or Humvee that take you to certain Drop Zones.
Mara and Rick have both made it clear, vehicles are never going to be added.
But in no way I would ever see this game come with player-controlled vehicles
people dont explore, they take a heli to the landing zone hit main area and thats it, why even have the helis, just tp to the landing zone? Same reason for vehicles, content, a way to do things differantly, make it so that some missions ro items in game are to big or heavy and you need to get a jeep to load and trasnport goods, make it so you show up on map when doing this and if you can transport goods to main fob without being killed you get supplies for your faction, so much that be be good conetent added with vehicles
im not saying this is exactly how it should be just brain storming ideas. LOl you guys are so negative man
Some of the best missions in the game are literally "extract with this thing that's too heavy to run with".
And "have your buddy pick you up in a jeep" would destroy that content.
devs also said things and then streamers said yo you know why your game tanked to less then 1000ppl playing cause your not doing things right. and devs had to change their minds
last 3 months player count less then 1500ppl
they need more fun content other wise game will never grow'
Speaking as one of many people who actively explore on foot (and almost exclusively so some days), LZ's don't tend to bother me, but to say they have no use is patently false.
At this point I feel you're trying to justify something that is neither in keeping with the games setting, devs vision, and general feeling within the community.
The game is like 30% complete. Of course it needs more content. Nobody is arguing that point.
Also false - streamers don't tend to have any more say than the rest of us here in the community. All they provide is exposure to the audience they each bring. Whether that is good or bad, that's very much a matter of opinion, but to say it actively changes purely because of them is wrong.
you have no idea what your talking about then lol, they brought the streamers to their HQ to play the new update and give feed back and they already changed things that htey said needed to be changed before they released .3 Dude you need to stop pulling fairy dust out your back side

this video proves you wrong.
His changes are huge changes after they already developed it all. They will have to do those changes in time LOL, they cant change all that in 5 min, you realize that right?
Of course streamers are going to claim credit for certain things, it ultimately fuels their audience to believe they have a certain "sway" over games. If you've watched any of the dev streams, most of the changes they implemented were already planned, their input simply changed the priority of those changes.
drewski's videos on gzw are great. he gives best feedback there is to be honest
well they need to do something to get playerbase up cause current gameloop pvp or pve is kinda meh
I'm not commenting on this streaming specifically, but we're all super prone to confirmation bias. For every called shot, there's tons of other suggestions that never make it into the game - but there's no "here's everything I said that they didn't add" video because that's not remotely interesting.
Everyone does this. It's how our brains work.
also in your video at 5:45 he says the streamers gave them feedback that they listened to
I mean, they "listen to" all feedback. They don't action all of it. But tons of suggestions from these forums "make it into the game". All that means is that, in aggregate, a given idea was shared by a ton of people and it aligned with their overall vision and existing intention.
Lots of people ask for therms and it gets shot down every time.
Just having an idea and it being "popular" doesn't guarantee anything.
Think you mean Thermals, but the point is correct.
Yes, fixed.
well i dont see how they will get people to the fight without fobs and helis, atm people camp helis and fobs
You can't camp a FOB because the mortars will strike you down with the vengeance of the almighty.
Now if you meant COPs maybe, but players are sure going to waste a hell of a lot of time just sitting there waiting for players to respawn and you'd have to chose the correct one.
People have been doing this since 0.1, and always will do this in every single iteration of every single game. It's PvP at it's most "kills at all cost" gameplay mentality that accompanies any player base.
Personally I think the only player controlled 'vehicle' I'd want is some sort of mountain bike that makes manual movement from point of interest to point of interest a little bit faster, but even then it'd be a pain to carry around with the current backpack system, so idk.
Not to mention, the devs had admitted multiple times that they don't see LZ camping as an issue. It's a tactic.
