The nerf to controlled sprint seems to have exposed a lot of the community and their go to way of attacking. Now that it takes skill to move up the pitch at a fast pace, the defensive side of the game should match.
The defensive AI after patch 1.0.2
Improved positioning of players when playing with low defensive depth so that they’re not pushing too high up the pitch.
Center Backs are now less likely to run wide when marking central attackers.
And probably a few more changes afterwards contribute to the feeling of some being un able to attack.
Reducing or completely reverting most of if not all changes to the defensive AI made after early access would completely balance out both sides of the game or at least have it in a better state than it is now.
The best version of the game could be 1 or 2 updates away.
