Not this AI-based defense meta — we need real, manual defending again. FIFA 17 was one of the most goated FIFAs ever, easily top 5 all time.

We don’t need to completely remove AI, but it shouldn’t defend for us. Give us a new tactic-based system that lets us control how our team moves, not just let the CPU do the job.

Everything feels way too scripted now, you don't feel in control most of the times, that's the problem
Early access gameplay had issues, surely, but you felt in control.

They should just keep kickoff and corners changes, and maybe jockey but a little less

Then they should focus on making physicality a little better

The goalkeeper covers a lot while anticipating the direction and often jumps in place. He is the worst.

It's the worst and most changed update in the franchise's history for that position. I played for about 10 hours today and it's terrible and frustrating for those who were expecting the improvements you
promised.
1- Pressing R3 to the side at the moment of the shot or during the animation simply leaves half the goal
exposed.
2- Holding triangle on crosses has no effect anymore because the goalkeeper no longer goes for the ball, and when he does, he doesn't catch it. Even if you press the new "ball" button for the goalkeeper to catch the ball, sometimes he doesn't. The controls simply
don't work.
3- Sometimes you get everything right, positioning,
R3, and even then the ball goes in.
4- Close-range shots are too powerful, even though the offensive players aren't completely upgraded.

5- There are weak balls where you use a command such as R3 or ball for the goalkeeper to hold the ball, and he does nothing, and the ball goes over his head.
6- The far reach+ animation is still not activated, just
like in the previous EA FC.
7- The punch button does not work here.

1- 1st week the defending AI was minimal, second week you turn it on to EA FC 25 levels. Is too much
2- R1 was really good, you make it bad. Just tune it down 20%
3- Jockey was sooo bad, you make it sooo good, just make small incremental changes
4- Kick ofs thanks, it works now
5- GK are OK IMO
6- Playstyles play too much into the game, you can have the best icon ever, if he has no playstyles he is useless.

Leave skill moves alone, they're easily defensible and punishable, if one pulls out a skill move to get into space it's your fault for not defending well and they deserved going trough, the AI should not help u

Skill moves ARE the skill gap, they've always been, excluding broken exploits we had in previous games like the bridge, la croqueta spam and El tornado cross

As for the McGeady cancel, surely, cancels are kinda silly but as of rn it's one of the only ways to make space, that's what it's used for, blame the realistic AI block you realism lover all wanted
