Defending actually feels brilliant now, I'm not conceding cheap goals.You can jockey with confidence.Pre patch irrespective of how you defended,You were guaranteed to concede.
Switching to the right player and anticipating and intercepting passes feel natural now.It wasn't like that before, Defending the whole game with cdms and attacker without touching the defensive line felt boring and stressful,It wasn't fun at all.I am glad they fixed it now.
Amazing work EA!

R1 dribbling- I don't understand why people are disliking it post patch.It's called "Controlled sprint" for a reason and it feels perfectly balanced in my opinion.

Overall the patch has made me fall in love with fc26 again and I'm someone who's been playing regularly since fifa 98 .

Please don't make too many changes going forward.

Great work EA listening to the community and not just the sweats. Good update. A step in the right direction. But pls fix fidget spinners next.
Fidget sppining is still way too op and unrealistic. Defending against that is still impossible as it has been nerfed to the ground.

Now nxt step is finding a way to nerf the fidget spinners so that defenders have a fair n equal opportunity.

Dribbling is still op and the defense is unable to keep up.
Current state only streamers n sweats keep abusing the left stick mechanic and others is interested to play.

@potent otter so AI defending like FC 25 is a good thing? People just mindless defending now bring anybody out of position. Tackle spamming is back and effective. Defending requires no skill at all now. Honestly a blind person could now defend in FC 26. And the variety in attack is extremely limited now too.

@floral siren I would love them too revert it. Only issues that you could not defend was kick off and corners so keep those fixed. The rest of gameplay before this patch was a learning curve.

@astral hatch they absolutely have to because I guarantee the playbase will significantly fall off especially after last year. It feels way to similar to FC 25.

Eu achei o jogo bem melhor agora também, acho que acelerou um pouco (ou eu que costumei com o jogo). Acho que seria legal mais faltas também.

If the defensive AI gets nerfed back to whatever it was during early access this game will be great.

I just don't think I should have to play mortal kombat every time I go on the attack against someone who only chases with one player. If you don't switch the AI should just get beaten. Regardless if it's vvd or a bronze. The AI should not help as much as it does.

@astral hatch exactly I completely agree with you. These guys accusing me of fidget spinning and R1 dribble and have never seen me play. At the end of the day I know casuals like having strong AI defending because it makes them feel confident but there has to be a point of making people actually have to defend themselves which creates a skill gap. I'm surprised these guys don't want someone to play the game for them at this rate. We will have auto passes soon.

@tough aurora the player base fell over massively at the start of FC 25. And you don't speak for all casuals, lots of people have told me they are casual and actually enjoyed the learning curve pre patch gave. If you conceded R1 and fidget spinner goals then that's on you to learn how to defend against them. Now on plenty of casuals I've spoken to feel like they are not learning anywhere near as much in attack and defence. So you don't speak for them all.
