New dribbling is slow and unresponsive what makes it impossible to beat the opponent in 1vs1 scenarios using a stick (without abusing skill moves). That includes even the opponent's players which are not being controlled

Van Dijk has literally the highest rated defensive stats in the game and almost all the defensive playstyles. The issue there was you. The dribbling didn't need to be nerfed, only the responsiveness of defensive players should be increased

there's a big difference between using skill moves and abusing those like a rainbow flick into a shot from outside the box which ends up as a goal half of the times. Or la croqueta that was being spammed by everyone until EA nerfed it to lose possession of the ball after repetining it. Or skills that gave the player otherwise impossible speed boost

Skill moves were the actual skill gap FIFA always had, the rainbow + bicycle kick is an exploit, they don't intend to skill but to take advantage of something broken
Skill moves are a combination of buttons pressed with the right timing and they're also risky because most lock U into an animation so they are punished but also can make for great exhibition of skill by the player

I can still dribble just fine, my left stick works and believe it or not you can pass the ball and trigger attacking runs if you devoted your entire gameplay around fidgetspinning thats your issue.
