I have a question for anyone here, who either is a mod or something?

Are your developers completely out of their damn mind?!?!

I just read the patch notes and I actually want to vomit.
How can those guys buff Jockey speed, but not nerf AI defending?

You guys know what's gonna happen right? Everyone in Div 1 and Elite is already parking the bus (i play there) and is only using their midfielders to defend, do you actually believe, by buffing Jockey speed those people will suddenly begin to use their CBs to defend....

People will still use their cms and whatever and abuse this park the bus crap even more, because some airheads cried 24/7 about defending. Nobody, literally nobody uses their CBs anyways and nobody will post patch.

I would have had a better idea, but I guess that's too late now. Instead of buffing the Jockey, why not only buff it, if and actual CBs is being controlled, but guess what... Now every high tier game will be even more of a park the bus - Counter festival......

Btw... if anyone wants to tell me some bullcrap. Im an Elite Div. Player since Elite was introduced, have won 30 Drafts already and I have been Div. 1 since Fifa 13 and started playing in FUT 12. If any Timmy here wants to tell me how hard defending is, just dont talk at all.
The game already has more defensive mechanics that dont require any skill at all, AI attacking movement is terrible, even if you tell them to run via bumper buttons and crossing is entirely useless as well, as well as playing posession. Most diverse playstyles are dead already and if you release this new patch EA, this game will die.

There is a huge difference in gameplay from day 1 to whAt we have now. I completely agree with your post. The amount of games i have lost to ai defending rats who do nothing but r1 press the whole game is unbelievable. The game is supposed to be more attacking based this year and dribbling better but whats the point when theres 3 players surrounding me everytime i have the ball and my attackers don't even make runs into open spaces. Itz pathetic this community and the direction the game is headed. All these loser complaining abt nerf this nerf that dont want to put any effort into defending. They just want the ai to do everything for them.

You ve got a very high game level indeed.
Me, i play online season only since fifa 08,09. Div 1 each year but i am not a king player.
Personnally i think the game is unbalanced.
Jockey defense is a bit too slow to follow attackers.
That allows attack to score too much don t you think ?
Manual or semi manual for attack and defense would be nice especially in comptetirive modes.
I agree with you for noobs who let ai defending for them and it shouldn t be that.
I think the only solution is to nerf every assissted thing.
Priority to manual or semi.

There's always some undisclosed adjustments to parts of the game during an update.

But it would absolutely finish this game off if the defensive AI doesn't get reverted to early access levels.

I agree with you, they promised us that manual defending this year will be rewarded but it's opposite. If they will improve manual defending without nerfing AI and punishing in game rats for passive defensive this game will be over

That's the point, low block can be a thing and its a thing irl, but the difference is that players make clever attacking runs to get over it

Playing low block should just make you exposed to the attacks and counters should be less effective since you are using every player to defend

Like you said none of other playing styles are incentivated or viable trough the gameplay we have rn

Crossing means getting anticipated most of the times and when you do the ball goes back to the midfield and you get countered, lonshots aren't a thing, dribbling neither since assisted double man pressing is a thing

Rn you just have to be patient asf and pass the ball till you find the space and you most likely won't since the AI attacking runs are awful
If you fail, one pass is enough for a counter and a soulless goal with no skills involved

If you gonna AI defend or park the bus the attacking should be limited until you switch, but we know that will never happens.

RM Vs Juve yester
Juve played HARAMBALL all the game and got maybe two attacking chances in 90 minutes

The funny part is, when I was playing champs there were attacking moments where I literally stop and just stand there with the ball and my opponent would still NOT come for the ball and park the bus with their CDMs.

Low blocks would be fine if the AI attacking runs were better and counters less rewarding

They did say they are making trough balls less assisted atleast
And Jockey being better means you can indeed defend better against counters

I wish you could have more players in defense do that counters didn't feel as awful

But this is a game not reality, as said plenty of times, the game shouldn't defend for u

So only selecting your cdm or st to defend should just expose you to your defensive line standing still

That said it's not fun to play against low block rats so yea, non selecting your CBS should just result in your defensive line basically standing still

They also said that attackers took the ball from behind with tackles and they also fixed that

So hopefully defending with strikers is also less incentivated

Just played 3 games after patch, they killed this game, now you dont have to do anything in defense, because AI defending is even more powerfull than before

This new patch is amazing, fidgetspinners and kick off rats in the mud. It actually feels like a football game now. No more double digit scorelines or ping pong football.
