Another point I would like to add about EA Sports FC 26 is that we should probably stop calling it a football game. The gameplay clearly follows its own internal logic, and many of those mechanics do not reflect real football at all.

A clear example is the common tactic of keeping fullbacks permanently locked in defense. This setup is used constantly, even by players competing in FC Pro tournaments. In real football that would be extremely unusual. No team in major competitions plays with tactics like that.

Watching the tactical setups used by FC Pro players can be quite amusing for anyone who understands football even a little. Coaches like Pep Guardiola would probably find it even more laughable.

It should only be considered more as a card collecting game than a true football simulation. The Ultimate Team mode is clearly built around collecting and upgrading cards, while the gameplay itself follows mechanics that are very different from real football.

Because of this, the gameplay does not really seem suitable for such extreme levels of competition. When the mechanics of the game differ so much from the logic of real football, building a highly competitive environment around it creates more frustration than enjoyment.

For this reason the competitive pressure in Ultimate Team should be much lower. Tournaments with a limited number of matches especially make little sense in this context. Modes like that mainly create a slot-machine effect, where players keep retrying hoping for a better outcome, which leads to frustration and stress rather than a healthy and enjoyable game experience.

Hello, new player. What is the best packs to buy with $100 worth of FC points to start a new team?

I am a bit overwhelmed by all of the names of the picks, and not sure what rating they mean. I am definitely getting the Prism pack that is 11x 88+ for 4000 points. I don't care if they are tradeable or not, I just want the best overall starting team.

I am willing to spend a bit more if the packs are better now than usual to flesh out each position if needed, for instance if it's better to get the icons now or something that are higher overall.

It's insane bro. Anyone that's not in div 1 rn which is elite due to season reset or not playing high elo games 10-0 plus in wl then their feedback must be recinded. At that lvl you can tell how awful this game was. There was counters to it pre patch but now there is zero space out wide to create chances which is the way all pros would make chances. The whole team presses you in all directions and you can't pass back cos their attackets mark your defenders perfectly somehow which is beyond unrealistic as you never see this irl lol
