Since the January 21st update, EA SPORTS FC 26 on PC has been suffering from a severe input lag issue, making the game practically unplayable. The delay reaches approximately 10 seconds between the input made on the controller and the actual action performed by the player in-game, which completely breaks gameplay in any mode, both offline and online.
In the most recent update released on January 29th, there was no mention at all of this issue — neither as a fix, nor as a known problem under investigation. This lack of acknowledgment is concerning, especially considering the critical nature of the issue and its direct impact on core gameplay.
It is also important to emphasize that this is not a new problem. Input lag issues on PC have been reported since the game’s launch, but after the January 21st update, the situation became significantly worse, reaching an extreme level that prevents players from properly playing any match.
At this point, we would appreciate a clear statement from the EA team regarding:
official acknowledgment of the input lag issue on PC;
whether it is currently being investigated;
and if there is any expected timeline or mitigation plan for a fix.
Issues of this severity require transparent communication. The absence of any reference to this problem in the patch notes does not reflect the impact it is currently having on the PC player base.

Meanwhile, on PC, we’re dealing with a small, totally insignificant detail:
10 seconds of input lag.
You press a button.
Nothing happens.

The player stares into the void.
Ten seconds later… maybe… he decides to respond.
We’ve checked everything:
drivers, V-Sync, graphic settings, controllers, servers, connection, optimization.
Nothing explains why the game reacts like it’s being played by mail.
Until the solution became obvious.
The problem…

Clearly, the game has an existential crisis every time a player tries to interact with it.

The problem is, that playstyles have already been heavily influencing the game since launch. Many players have done many evolutions or purchased players based on their playstyles and it will ruin the vast majority of your playerbase’s teams. Furthermore, AI defending is still incredibly strong and nerfing playstyles will make it even more difficult for offensive players. I am in the Elite division and 95% of all games that I play are people still holding onto CDMs and not switching at all on defense and relying strictly on AI. Manual defenders do not get rewarded for being in good positions whatsoever. I think this feedback should be taken into account for FC 27

I’ve never used it and still sink outside the box shots in the Elite division + it takes an extra half second to aim which could be the difference in you getting a shot off or getting tackled. Just my opinion though I’m sure it works great for some people

you talk for nothing here, ea doesn't give a single piece of crap about what we talk. they said they nerfed ai defending , they did absolutely nothing , they can sit on their cdm for all the game and out of nowhere their cb's will tackle me without being selected. if we would actually get back to manual defending , none of those rats would actually play the game, or they would complain about 2 weeks that they can't play the game because the ai is not defending for them so they will reverse it again . it's so sad that ea is listening more to the players that play this game 1 hour a day and they need all the help in the world to do something in game, spamming the same evos that some kids on tt or yt are telling them, spamming the same tactics as all the " pro players " and just sitting on one player . this is their fun , i hope all of them fall into a pit and never come back to this game so we can have a clean comunity actually
so , if they would get back to manual defending they would lose about 40% of the income that those rats put in the game, so it's not worth for them to actually get them to do work in a game , they can sit on a single player and won't get punished . there should be a way that if you sit more that 20s on a single player without moving any other one to get all your team to do absolutely nothing , so then we would see if they would sit on the cdm all the game and wait for the ai to tackle
