Same here. I play tiki taka football. Breaking down the defense with passing and runs is my game. I dont play counter. But right now it seems almost impossible to score rewarding goals because no matter what you do there will always be that one random ai defender who eventually stops you.

Yeah it’s sad because we actually had a good game for the first 2 weeks. EA actually produced a good game. Then EA realized that their casual cash cows were pissed so they had to cater to them again.

EA would retain more players if they realized that their matchmaking isn't working properly, especially in tournaments. Players with similar scoring algorithms should be randomly selected in the brackets, as results are primarily determined by skill. Better skill translates to better leagues, resulting in better results. Nothing is more frustrating for a player to have skills for a 9th or 8th league, only to be defeated in a 6th or 5th division tournament and score two goals after three minutes. This is why certain modes are short-lived or completely overrun by pro players.

It’s true that the game is too defensive right now, and the reason is because there’s no reward for attacking, that’s on EA. But honestly, I think you can still play well even now with the right formation and some proper tiki-taka. It’s possible to open up gaps instead of constantly spinning

biscotti, unfortunately hes just a casual who is, no offense to others, in div 6. its a different game compared to elite div, which sucks for ea to make changes, but hopefully they lean more towards higher level players to fix this junk theyve made now.
