Nothings works when the servers are bad.

I made a discord account for the sole reason of sharing and explaining my disdain for keeper movement and AI defending. Please give this a read.

AI defending has been buffed to the max in recent years to cater to two types of people - casuals and pros (top 1%). Please do not conflate casuals with noobs. Casuals are people who play daily from div 6 - div 3 & they understand meta rat tactics like GK movement and CDM defending.

Noobs are irrelevant as they are likely kids or adults who are playing their first FIFA.

My main gripe with this is that defensive AI is buffed to the max & the issue is exacerbated by EA allowing players to control their forwards/DMs which make breaking down a block impossible for casuals. Where casuals benefit however, is that they are afforded valueless goals such as kick off, corners and counter. The trinity of hell.

Now the reason this AI/forward-cdm defending benefits the top 1%, is because they master high level mechanics such as player locks, skill move cancels and general pvp competitive meta mechanics which do not align with general football IQ. I mean last fifa everyone spammed trivelas with thuram who had sub 70 shooting. There’s no football IQ, but meta mechanics geared towards the pro scene.

Now my disdain for GK movement comes from the fact that I could input the most insane chain of mechanics ranging from player locks, skill cancels, advanced roulettes, shot cancels etc to thwart the defensive ai block ALL just to get a good shot on goal, ONLY to be denied by a ridiculous mechanic where a keeper flies across his goal.

The amount of effort, skill and patience required from the attacker, FAR outweighs the skill and inputs required from the defender who just control their dm and then fling their keeper across goal as a last resort.

Anyways, that’s my two pence of the 90 forsaken pounds I spent on FC26.
