EA separated both game style. All through FC 25, I played the authentic slow gameplay with more animations and it made sense.
This year, I switched to Competitive gameplay to catch-up with the Pace.
I was learning the game along the way and also getting to defend against the F1 dribble(which is nice).
But some folks now want EA to slow the game back to Authentic gameplay 2.0

The only people who like this patch are people who couldnt defend prepatch.

The dribbling is not the main problem with the patch.
Its the significant increase to ai defending. You no longer need to time a tackle as the game does it for you and the ai movement is so overpowered you defend with your cam.
90% of goals now are from counters.
The games gone to pot.

Regarding the dribbling: I really think they should have just tweaked that endless spin-spin-spin thing. The R1 was strong, and if they were going to nerf it, it should have been minimal. Offensively, I think it's much more important to nerf the low-driven (even if only slightly) and buff the other shot types, because nowadays there's only one shot in the game.

Regarding the defense: I feel that, yes, it was unbalanced compared to the attack. Things should be more balanced, but obviously, we either have 10 goals per game or no one can score. Honestly, I prefer normal scoreboards, but if the community wants 20 goals per game, I think that says more about the community than EA.

Since FC 25, EA changed the defensive mechanism. Which made sense. I great defender needed to have pace, agility to track back. Choosing defenders became an important factor. It no longer depended on stats but on technicality.
They carried it in FC26. Now, people who rely more on stats than actual player technicality are complaining they can't defend.
