The R1 was too OP. Most players dribbled like prime Maradona, Messi, Hazard, or Neymar. They should have nerfed the R1 slightly, but they did it too much and boosted the defense.

Gameplay wise it’s definitely up there for me, I think they’ve added a lot, but also on pc atm alots unplayable sort of limits ur modes, rivals is only worth it if ur going up divisions, once ur in elite, u only want to really play for ur points, draft is riddled with hackers, the same as champs.. that’s sort of wheelspin if your gonna get one in there, but in terms of the game, I can’t really complain

I can agree to some extent, but we’re not talking about someone with good dribbling or anything at all, that’s the point, Ian rush shouldn’t be doing that.. r1 dribbling has always been to be a more controlled dribbling system, they made it a bit too overpowered and lowered it, I think the games that I have played have been fine.. much better imo. it’s quite literally a game. the aim of games are to be fun. call of duty classic example- do you heal up in real life after running away from bullets for 3 seconds? No but the game is fun to play. Just admit you were not good and could not win. This takes the fun out the game. if you want to play realism play against the ai in squad battles on ultimate. Then u cant do the dribbling. When it’s a competitive game and you’re losing a lot that means someone else is winning someone else is better than you. now we’re just stuck in the mud simulator but hey! At least it’s realistic

Bro the patch is actually unbearable, I average 11-13 wins every weekend I got 7 wins due to constant dc an my players moving like beached whales. I should’ve got 8 but it kicked me out of fc26 when I was loading out of the game after I won and it counted as a loss. Just last night made me uninstall the game and I’m not touching it until it’s fixed both dribbling and server wise

Back in FIFA 17, we had full control: speed, passing, positioning, crossing, pressure, aggressiveness, shifting, defensive line – everything. You could make every player perform exactly how you wanted. That’s why players like Bomatti, Diaby, Openda, Westwood, they were insane back then.

Now? You just tweak “one slider” or “ultra deep” and the AI ignores you. It’s frustrating. You get punished for trying to play smart. UFL does it right: you can adjust defensive style, depth, width, attacking style, long passes, build-up, everything. That’s what we need in EA FC 26.

Give us real tactical control, not just letting the AI run the game. Let us create our own playstyle, let us make players like Saliba, Depele, or Beckenbauer perform how they’re supposed to. That’s how you make a game competitive and skill-based.

Want to say till now the patch have been great in balance. I see there is a split between people that want the R1 dribbling to be as it was and some that are happy it is not as it was. I played a lot of game and i do not use R1 so much myself, i played for testing purpose and with R1 i could just win a match without any skill. the R1 is nerved for plyers that does not have the playstyle with others that does it can but you cannot abuse it anymore. I think if it is going to be patched be balanced about how people are abusing mechanics to gain advantage without any skill. It cannot be that someone use controlled sprint R1 from his half of the pitch and sprint through till the box of someone else or uses it diagonally to cross all the way while my defence goes away from him instead of blocking the path. So i think no one that abuses mechanic should be able to enjoy a game to the extend that it does not have any skill involve.
