This is a competitive game. League and a lot of other games have skill gaps and they refuse to lower the skill gap for a simple reason:

Skill needs to get rewarded. When everyone plays the same and Spams the same stuff the game is dead and has no skill gap. Tactics should be an option, not a must, game needs to be responsive, not like I'm carrying a rock on my back.

Defensive speed is so much higher than attacking speed now, it's ridiculous.

If you can park the bus and the attackers aren't fast enough in turning there is nearly no skill gap in defending.

For me, this patch only adds problems and fixes nothing. Dribbling players like me are now really handicapped by this terrible reaction time — even with Kvara, I can’t do anything anymore. The female players are still way too overpowered in terms of body type and ball advantage, and the defense is still a mess! It would’ve been better to just improve the defensive playstyles and reduce the effectiveness of R1 — that’s it!

Nerfing those two was enough. Most games would have ended 2-0, 3-0 without kick off goals in high divs.
If people in Div 7 can't defend that ain't my problem. I had to learn defending too and invest time, like in many games.

Why does EA even care about the average casual that much? They will complain no matter what? A lot of players were happy with the general state of the game, but because it was polarizing they reacted. Last year everyone hated the game, now it at least was fun for a lot of people.

Casuals will stop playing after 2-4 months anyways and jump onto the next hot thing, but players who actually care will continue. They now ruin their hard-core player base for Casuals that throw the game away fast anyways.
