Haven't played since Fifa 17 and i'm absolutely at a loss at how to play this game. I'm god awful, haven't got a single win in rivals since release and I just do not understand. I never seem to have any open passing lanes, every single pass gets intercepted, NONE of my players put a tackle in or an interception unless it's me manually controlling them, yet I NEVER seem to have any kind of coverage that my opponents do.

Can anyone give me any pointers? I know Fifa 17 was almost another life time at this point, but I was a div 1 player, I understand these games in general. But I cannot for the life of me understand why it feels like i'm playing pro players every single game in Div 10 and I'm like an autistic 3 year old trying to figure out hand eye coordination.

I've defintely watched some YT guides and everything just says to run back with your 2x CDM's and basically only control them, but again my issue is I just get absolutely walked through like my players aren't even there, I have no AI help at all it seems. Like i'm okay if i'm not a great player, I can stomach losing no worries, but I just can't fathom how everybody seems to be crazy good and I can't even get a shot off because i'm closed down instantaneously.
