Chatting Bug, have to type twice to send it over.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Typing the text and then pressing Enter shuts off the text tab as usual but refuses to send over the text you've written. Doing it again sends the text normally. So you basically have to repeat typing and pressing enter twice to send the text over. This happens in the Say, Clan, Party and Whisper tabs.

i had the same issue, you send a message and its like chat is disconnected and nothing happens, but then try again and it works

It doesn't seems like we're disconnecting from the chat servers since we can still see the active conversations in live, but cant send our own text until we try typing like 1-3 times

Id like to point out that Im usually tabbed off from the game for long durations of time before this happens, it has yet to happen while Im actively playing or actively chatting

Hey @lusty bolt I'm not sure if it is related so I am not making another thread and instead adding it here. When typing in chat on my Lyn Warlock, for me to say a sentence I need to start it with a capital letter sometimes otherwise it does not go through. This usually happens when I am in dungeon instances.

No error message is shown.

for me this happend today after each port. Entering dungeon, going through a portal in mushin, porting from one location to another - 1st chat message is not sent. Second message is sent. But I usually tab out of the game (playing in borderless window) during loading screens and do something in the browser.

I also noticed that sometimes it may happen when you write more. For example. 3 separate posts in a row, while standing and then 1 of the 3 messages doesn't get sent. But this I couldn't replicate so far.

Even those campain quest where you need to bow and co are affected by this bug. You need to always post the message 2 times 😦

@dense island @lusty bolt Any chance this could get a re-check? More and more people are reporting about this issue, even if its not a client-related bug there still seems to be a server related connection issue ever since the chat disconnection issue got fixed a few weeks ago

it seems they have changed something. Until now I needed to send my message 2 times after a I ported for it to be sent. Now it's 3 times after each port xD

I had a super-DC today and couldn't reconnect till restarted the game, even switching characters didn't work

I had to restart my pc for that chat bug now to go away. did 2 game restarts and those din't help. For the moment it seems to work

Yeah for me neither. the Bug is still ingame. Had it again yeaterday and had to sent the message 2 or 3 Times before going out. Will try tomorrow when I'm back home again.

Hard to ignore something that prevents you from dungeon parties. I bear with it for 4 weeks now. I didn't even launch the game today. Well I guess that time has come.

was to expected. Last maint was only for the server merge and no further client change. So instead of 6 servers with that bug we now have only 2 😅 Could be seen as an improvement 😅😂😜

Still got my chat issue. Chat not working at all. I have already tried everything from DNS flush, to winsock release, IP reset, changed ISP 3 times. The only thing I have not tried is change laptop. I am tired of trying.

told you^^ it's really sad that a company can't even fix a chat bug after over 2 months and even brings it to the next major update. This just says that they won't fix anytime soon, if at all. But let's phase it, not enough still play neo to be worth the time to fix an annoying but most of the time not game breaking bug 😅

@thorny vine Please fix. Some quest in Silverrost require Emotes we can use due to this ongoing chat issue.
