you probably have conflicting books trying to pull the same skill in different directions
for example if you have both dragoncall and dragon helix books equipped, you don't get both skills since they're different versions of the same base skill

Yeah id imagine you have an "additional damage" book somewhere. Check your books. The books for WL PvP have additional Damage labeled on it (helix and dcall)

Dragoncall is better for higher ping users. It is also considered to be the higher dps build in general if all things are equal.

dragon helix build is much cheaper to build though with the average cost of dragon helix hovering around 2-3k a piece in NA. Meanwhile a single dragoncall gies between 10-15k each.

overall i would probably suggest dragoncall (ice build) for your friend given the ping.

I havent been checking prices of that. It is needed and is stackable but most people are not trying to stack it right now since it isnt feasible until you have multiple legendary books... so probably a bit above trash book price. if trash sells for 700-800, you can maybe try for 2k is you are optimistic... 1K~1.2k if you just want to sell on the first go. That is my best GUESS. once again, idk for sure. these are based off NA prices.

i have 2 macros, one that spams helix + rmb and one that spams helix +rmb with occasional lmb

I do not have sacred mystic badge yet.

Rotation during soulburn = helix spam with some rmb
rotation outside of helix is the macro with lmb occasionally weaved in there to maintain a little focus.

As an opener i use 2 - leech - v - 3 -soulcore - sb - v

those 2 v's should be instant cast

before using 2 you could hardcast v as well

just find something you enjoy, we get gigabuffs anyway soon and will keep up with other classes now

i know some KR warlock prefers to just finish out a leech rotation and then cycle into SB when leech expires to have consistent dps track record

you can also open shackles -> leech + SB, instant cast helix and hexstorm, then full channel mortal coil (3) assuming you have it as a purple book. This would give you an instant reset on leech by the time SB ends if you are running leech cd badge or have sacred badge. TBF though idk if full purple shadowlock still runs purple mortal coil or if they ditch it for something else.

Shadowlock rotation is much more dependent on your badges and build set up. you can have completely different rotations depending on which mystic badge you go and if you run rupture or rupture: spectral orb which would also affect which RMB you pick (at purple) The builds start to become much more cookie cutter with legendaries and sacred badges since they combine all the effects of lower tier books/badges into 1.

Shadow WL is super diverse in the build paths at purple and it is super fun to theory craft. I would definitely defer to your experience since you are actively playing it. I just know the theory behind it and what i know from playing it first month before switching.

It will buff shadow to get more on par with the DPS of Ice

But there are so many factors that limit the classes DPS; ping being one of the biggest issues.

Others being like legendary books and 48 stacks on skills

As well as making sure you have your mystic and soul badges

for both specs you remove late game

once you fill out your build you do not have room for it and it is a dps loss to use it

and you do not run in to focus probs

you should run it till you are late late game then you remove it to put another dragon call or helix in

So do you think if I had 3 leg helix, 3 leg hex storm, and 1 leg volley it would be better to just max out as many helix purples for gm as I can until I can get more leg volley, or do something like 60 gm helix, 48 hex, 48 volley with a bunch of volley purples and less helix purples? I haven't done the class change yet as I need more gold, but I will be working with 7 leg books and I'm just trying to figure out allocation beyond 48gm helix and hex.
