Since Warlocks were released in Korea alongside Twisted Labyrinth and Highland Exile, it would be reasonable to expect a similar release pattern for North America.

F7 is a terrible way of gauging player base. No one uses f7 because it's slow at recruiting and it's usually filled with people just tryna get carried. Most parties are found in world chat. I do agree the events kinda suck as for there isn't reasons to log on. It's meant to be a burn hm and go kinda game. It's not like live where you can farm the same dungeons endlessly. Which is kinda nice since most people who played live when it came out are probably working more now so less time to play. The skill book thing does suck. I miss live where you can swap skills on the fly.

shadow wl in neo plays more like old wl, which is slower than it is on live rn. and old shadow wl was more ping friendly

both are fairly "ping friendly". notice how i put it in quotes because they are but also aren't. with the starter books, ie green/blue, boh specs are very slow paced because they can't do a lot since wl requires multiple purple books to be effective.

with purple books, frost becomes a lot more fast paced because you're spamming 4tf a lot since purple rmb reduces f cd by 1 per cast and the base cd for f, at purple book, is 3s. also both of those skills reduces 4 cd

shadow wl is very slow since you can't generate spectral orbs very well with just rmb and f, you need v. especially outside of siphon. this problem only gets somewhat fixed with legendary rmb where you can generate 3 spectral orbs on the 3rd rmb (assuming i understand it correctly, i could be wrong). not to mention that shadow has more focus issues than frost. since every costs focus but almost nothing recovers it aside from leech, 3, and mantra

so yes shadow wl is more ping friendly than live rn because it's not nearly as fast paced

Not exactly, current Live version is like a 'easymode' version compare to what neo is going to get. neo will get the one that similar to the first patch wl came out a few years ago, skill still have cast time and some mechanic required before you can reach full dps.

i thought its always been that way where you had to do a pre skill before you can insta skill. kinda like how wind bd have to use a skill for wind charge before they can do 3 rmb 3 f

otherwise youre stuck with long cd and slow animations

live wl is very different from old wl/neo wl, like shiba said, it's ez mode. pretty much everything is instant cast

been that way since awakening patch

which was a few yrs ago

neo wl will function similarly to old wl

with, ofc, every single qol and shi like that locked behind purple books

for example; dragoncall does not give you a 2nd cast when you crit, that's locked behind purple book

the cdr on dragoncall is also very slow without purple books

blue book bombardment (rmb) (there are other ways of reducing dragoncall cd im just using bombardment as an example since it's the main way), reduces cd of dragoncall by 1s on hit during siphon which you get when you use leech, you get siphon for 12s on a 45s cd which can be reduce but not super fast so you won't be in siphon all the time. However purple bombardment can reduce dragoncall cd by an additional 1s on crit, whether you're in siphon or not which is very good and very useful

that's just 1 example

it's not great

wl is very much locked behind purple books

more so than other classes

Dragon call is more tricky to play it at full potential. Mainly because you have to manage the up-time of a couple debuff such as the one called "target" at an enemy at all time. This debuff make your main dps skill become instant cast, if you mess-up your rotation and this debuff runout, you rmb will have 0.7sec cast time and 2.5sec for the [4] (dragon call). also Dragon call have 18sec cd, which you can reduce by using rmb while you have a buff called "Siphon" which is a skill with 40sec cd and can be reduce by using dragon call, now you might see that its now in full cycle. make one mistake and the whole thing just stop working. lol

But the advantage of Dragon Call is it have higher DPS ceiling than Helix spec

it's only "tricky" when you have low books. With some blue, mostly purple, books, target is up all the time since you apply it with Rupture (F) and it has a 3s cd starting at blue book which can be reduced with bomardment by 1s on crit. Purple Rupture increases this by letting bombardment reduces Rupture cd by another 1s on crit for total of 2s with just blue bombardment and purple rupture. Leech does not apply target it's mainly a "shi go brr" phase with the Siphon buff it gives you. Which lets you spam more dragoncalls

the target debuff is a nonissue

wl is not a complex class

it's just expensive

there is a delay for deletion as well its 7 days, but KR got new slots before WL class even came out but you never know with NCSoft

My suggestion is because deletion takes about 7 days. When you hear of the release date. I would choose which char i liked the least and add it to the delete que 6 days prior to release. stacking rmb and dc is probably better becasue your dmg is split between the 2. you need to rmb to get your dragon calls out and having rmb when you cant insta cast dc helps alot. probably a 1:3 ratio of rmb:dc is best. i wouldnt 1:1 them though because your dmg% on a dps meter probably isnt a even 50/50 split for them
