Check how many FBs he did in the whole fight compared to you. If it's higher then he probably rotated his skills more optimally for better reverse ligtning uptime.
And lastly, he might have had better uptime of the 10x LF buff (idr what it's called)

with gm stacks on V u just get more wind spirit + the stance, so u can basically spam F like crazy for typhoons

Wind: easier to master, ping friendly, 1 leggy to shine becouse only one skil matter to stack. High dps
Lightning: More fun and dynamic, not ping friendly, need animation cancel for the lmb + f combo, 2 books to stacks but even with stacking only lightning flash is good to go. Recently boosted and has high dps.

the only thing i could think about is getting AP DEF for yellow insignias instead of AP HP
but tbh, the Defense gain from that is what fkin ever
and HP is just way more useful than the minor amount of dmg reduction and dmg u would get from it
u basically get all the defense u want from stacking ur books
and dont forget about diminishing returns on stats, i know that crit rate has diminishing returns. i dont know about other stats, but this game doesnt even let us find out cuz u will be running double crit everywhere u can

basically due to GM stacks u have a free 100% crit rate on any boss, meaning u can stack up crit dmg % on cardsets like crazy
if u dont have the crit rate, u cannot trigger the bonus effect from GM stacks (basically u need to crit in order for the build to work optimal)
once u have the gear, u will most probably tank
about the stacking i dont really know, i didnt do the calculations. but u should stack mor LF than SC
for endgame lightning is ultimately better rn, dont know if they will ever buff wind to be equal again
the only advantage wind has rn, is that you should never run into focus issues. the build is fully functional on purple books and doesnt depend on crits. wind has better aoe over all, making msp way smoother
the wind skills also give u some quality of life, it just becomes insanely hard to execute properly when u get legendary wind sever
and yeah u can run bleed and hmb on both specs, both specs have 2 KDs, both can have decent parry skills to tank, even tho i think that its a bit harder for lightning to tank than for wind

And what other skills do i need on endgame build that generate wind charge? Saw one who only used Whirling Scourge, Skyward slash and white wind for total of 18s of wind charge and the lowest cd among them is 30s. Is the additional 3s from soaring dragon enough to have wind charge up 24/7?

im playing only wind sever, whirling scourge, skyward slash and white wind
and thats enough to keep up stance 24/7 on bosses
on somme bosses i drop V or X, if i need to swap in a utility skill and the boss is mobile
cuz on a training dummy only 2 stance skills would be enough to be in stance 24/7
it just became very hard to play on legendary, because on every dragon u are set to 3 seconds of stance. for example, if u hit a dragon and u had 4 seconds of stance left, nothing happens. if u have below 3 seconds, it just gets set to 3 seconds. if u have sacred (SF) mystic badge, that basically means u are permanently in stance cuz every rolling typhoon counts as 2 towards stacking dragon. while in badge u get a dragon every 3 seconds, refreshing ur stance.
it become complicated when ur badge is about to run out, and u have to use ur stance skills, looking at the current situation and choosing the best one. but also having stacked up wind spirits before, so u can do 3 typhoons instantly on any stance skill
also u wanna sometimes hold ur dragon. for example ur dragon is ready but badge is running out in 1 second, u can hold it till badge is gone and then hit dragon to instantly reapply badge effect for 12 sec
keeping track of all these buffs and numbers while also dodging boss skills or doing mechanics makes it very complicated, because if u dont do all that u wont even reach the dmg of a budget light BD

i just stayed wind cuz i played lightning in the beginning and i got too frustrated not critting. now i wouldnt have that problem, but i played wind for so long and i still love every second of it, i think i would have less fun

Played destro for almost 8-9 years by now and neo version is vastly different and in endgame lacks crit a lot to feel smooth. DL has the same issue i assume in endgame with crit. Only BD feels crit independent in its basic rotation and light has nice crit rate buff due to gm stacks

wind is about generating wind spirits to use rolling typhoon and maintaining wind charge so typhoon cost 1 spirit instead of 3
its big aoe spec great for gold farming in msp your focus is on stacking RMB skill and only that at endgame i see people with Z C and hmb and the 15 rmbs
lighting is about staying in draw stance using lmb f anicancel (not too fast or you loose 2nd half of F skill) and reducing fatal blades cooldown.

purely by ap ratios its 8%, the crit difference is harder to calculate because if you have every cdmg% bond set you lose more from not critting than someone with no cdmg% bonds
so difference would be another 20-30% depending on how many jinsoyun cards you have, assuming you are running snake or arena dungeons
but also just play what you want, eventually ncsoft buffs everything (unless it's shockwave)

and with soul badge the same, it logs additional hit

For wind it might be worth getting 30 or 48 stacks as it gives 5-10% crit rate for 12sec and already have 156+ wind sever gm points. For lightning one seems nice to have but difficult to sacrifice GM points from LFCDR to get 48 points

the lower your sc stacks are,. the less you lose from flicker but it is never a gain
the base mod dif is only an additional .275

hello guys, Is the difference in dps between lightning and wind very big?

Generally lighting is stronger now. But then it depends what you want to do and how much you are willing to spend . As DPS is not only related on books . If you are new and lower geared then with wind build ,is easier to become decent. As you can have 1 leg wind sever and the needed purple books and you farm much easier on msp ,SF dungeons.
Also Lighting BD needs low ping ,good macro and can benefit more from whale portraits sets. So on high end it is getting even better. Then still on WB there are a few high geared wind BDs but the majority are lighting BDs with 100+ GM stacks on LFCDR and SC
