Ok here you go, we'll assume 36 stacks (6 purp dupes for both flash and cleave, total 14 out of 18 book slots used) and 72 stacks on wind sever (12 purp dupes total 13 slots used)

For argument's sake, we'll say both start at 10000 dps

Wind sever (and everything below it) is responsible for ~97% of the total dmg dealt (9700), 72GM is 99% increase so 9700x1.99= 19303. Then you add back the base 3% (300) from other dmg sources for 19603 total dps.

Now Lightning at purple is split about 50%/35%/15% for fatal/LF/piercer+others. So 5000 and 3500 of the total 10k for our relevant skills. 42 GM is 66% increase in dmg so 5000x1.66=8300 and 3500x1.66=5810. Making a total dps of 8300+5810+1500 = 15610, or about 20% lower than wind with the same starting point

Or for a shorter version since we assumed both cleave and flash had the same GM here, wind increases 97% of its total dps by 99% while lightning increases 85% of its total dps by 66%

Now if we start using leg tier, split stacking LF becomes completely irrelevant and you only stack FB (now up to about 70% of your base dmg before stacks), meaning stacks are only at 70% value while wind stacks are still at 97%+ value

So, I'm a lightning lover, but starting to lean into going wind because it seems to be straight up better, not only book stacking, but also the fact that you're stuck with green books on lightning until purple which feels incredibly bad and something they overlooked, but before I'm ready for theh swap I just thought i'd check for opinions, any others that made the swap and regret? or do you think it was the right call? anyone that rerolled from wind to lightning?
Also, how is pvp between the both? I feel like wind might be more chill in pvp due to not having to worry about draw stance at all, but no idea on its damage / focus management considering if you miss rolling typhoons it might be really scuffed?
