I have some issues sometimes with focus. But that's the side effect of wanting more dps.
After watching the "combat log", in a 1m10sec at a lvl 65 dummy, my dps is roughly 442k at around 655 hits per super sunflower, 184 hits per strike speed hammer, 150 sunflowers. With a crit of 72%.
But focus only is an issue if I stay in one spot for to long and I'm not careful, otherwise it's not a major issue.
Timestream weapon would be amazing to have but, it's expensivo.

Barakal has 3 grab opportunities so you can get 24s of grab uptime for the whole pull. Like its nice but honestly i dont really see people getting big dps spikes just because of the free window. Maybe a help for the tank, but even than a lot of barakal tanking is just strafing and moving out of the aoes
If you had purple cat grab which can help /a few/ specs than maybe theres a niche for it depending on party comp

If you run with a Dark lancer that has their purple Pin book, id recommend letting them pin instead, Its not as long as the cat Pin, but they can dps as much as they want and it both gives 25% crit dmg and focus on hit to the whole team during that 6 seconds
But, if you are not a speed hammer user, the longer pin from cat might be better

Forget about rumblebees that build doesn't exist unless you have minimum 7 leg books.
If you only have blue books just play hornet, sunflower can work but there was a reason most people swapped to hornet when we had blue books.

The focus with every book tier is how many qol books can you remove for more RMB books before going crazy about never having enough focus.
Starting from blue tier summoners have access to a party iframe (stealth) using Sead Shroud: Overflow do not remove that as you move up the tiers and start removing focus regen skills.
Most people kinda expect you to use defense reduction hammer, which hornet can use from blue tier, but on sunflower i'd not recommend doing that before purple books.
The order you'd want to get books is always main skill book --> focus regen books, there are many choices 2, 3, f are the buttons you use for them and while some might be superiour to the others it's personal preference

Here you already reached the point where while i did include the qol skills in the builds you can start removing them and play around with your focus management
1 purple skill that I'd recommend getting for newer people and not removing is Daybreak, it's an iframe / focus regen / hp regen skill in 1 so highly recommended
When you swap to purple book tier you can start focusing on GM stacks. The only ones that truly matter are the defense reduction hammer with 30 GM stacks --> you press it less often easier focus management
As many mainskill gm stacks as you can get.
And on legendary tier just do whatever you want

Taking some of the +move speed abilities in tower lets you kite or circle tank most floors without taking any damage. For those that move speed doesnt seem to work too well on, a combination of cat taunt/more iframes/cc is the way to go

Others may have a second set of sunflowers, I make it work with Hornet. 70 and 75 die fast. 80's take maybe 5 seconds at most depending on the crits. (But that's my personal experience)
But yes, it's single target, you do not have to gather them. That takes time. I turn, click at a target, turn, another target.

its all about the speed and angle of attach of your finder, try removing the keycap (they are easy to remove) and use a tiny bit of WD40. Basibally you should remove all the keycaps now and then and give it a good clean 🙂

yeah thats sorta the issue with smn right now, we have a lot of interesting books that if specced might be nice, but not at the cost of an rmb book
