That line of thinking only applies to content that you're over gearing. If you're doing Mujin or above, you absolutely need accuracy.
In addition, Fire isn't permanently in stages 3/4 like some of you seem to suggest. At the very least, it shouldn't be.
Also, take STG3 to Tree and tell me what your Crate ends up being :)

Getting to Legendary weapon is the expensive part. Taking to Awakening & True is not nearly as expensive. In addition, just because someone took a piece of equipment to True, doesn't mean it's instantly expensive. True Hexwood Necklaces with BIS stats have been selling for 20K or less pre-patch.

Onrush additional damage appears on activation of the buff and only once. However, no damage will show up if the mob has 1 hp, i.e. training dummy.
Basically the onrush additional damage only can do at most whatever the remaining hp of the target.

There is no rotation for Fire. Spam 2, and keep up SP. If you played Wind correctly, it's not surprising that your damage went down after the swap. Wind is stronger after all.

Fire kfm doesn't parse properly in meters - when I played fire, ppl thought I was a 100k god on sashimi but I was just volcanic burst pulling 2 of the adds and tiger striking all 3 at same time

At very end game, fire kfms can stack more GMs and better legendary - they can even drop palm appliers and use the counter -> blazing kick to apply palm and stack 3 extra tiger strikes. Some some kr vids doing it. Comet wind also gets a huge disadvantage when fighting moving bosses like mujin so its hard to compare the builds on different bosses at different gear levels

Therefore the entry level to doing good amount of damage is much more easily reachable with Fire. However, the ceiling of Wind is much higher in comparison. It's just dramatically harder to play. A good Wind KFM will out damage a Fire one. In addition, @copper dock even with Legendary Tiger Strike, Wind should be pulling ahead, although slightly.

Yes, even Fire KFM gameplay is probably much harder than anything other MMOs have to offer. Wind is just something else
Without Legendary books in the equation, Wind does about 20% more than Fire if played perfectly. There are 2 hybrid builds and both have their own advantages.
With say a single Legendary book, I think Wind is only a tiny bit ahead. It's safe to say they're about even.

That is quite a significant gap. It reminds me of fighting games tournaments, where participants are more likely to pick the most "efficient" character in terms of output vs required effort, and usually the hardest characters that have the best output aren't picked.
In cases where you want to prog or just a much more consistent performance, Fire is actually a great choice

Hmm, I've mostly played Tekken, and people were never shy to pick Akuma, Bryan or Geese in T7. Despite the obvious difficulty. In any case, I'm not saying Fire is a bad spec. In hands of most people it will indeed be a better performing spec. I'm just a little annoyed at people parroting that Fire does more damage, which is simply untrue.

It's really hard to say. On EU there are currently no KFMs able to bring out 95%< DPS Wind can offer. On NA there are a few. I don't think doing this is THAT difficult.
I will however say that the same is true for Fire. Just reverse. No good Fire on NA, and only a handful on EU

i dont use it to enter any stage unless a mech causes me to have to force a stage. ill only use leading palm after im already in stage 4 when the timer is low to do the most dmg with it and also proc stage 1. to elaborate on this. you can do leading twice in stage 4 if you have the mystic badge but i use double comet badges

There is no best way to do this. On retail we used to do Moyun parses, and look at ratios. Ratios were the way. Here we don't have a training room, so it's not possible.

you will use attacks and randomly get a buff with a red symbol
once you get this buff your next 3 attacks are guaranteed to crit 100% of the time
and those 3 attacks do the mentioned bonus dmg

No, it's a completely useless skill. Volcanic Burst doesn't deal damage to immovable objects, which includes bosses. Because it doesn't even have the Cdmg amp like the purple variant, you are literally better off with the white Stomp.
