Yeah but there is a difference is that this time it's buying the currency that has been generated by a game breaking exploit. I have known people in Live who were banned for cheating and they spent 5-6 digits on the game so who knows.
The easiest solution for them is to make a server rollback but that will piss so many people though. Another approach would be going after the RMTers, which is not that hard to do provided we don't have thousands of players to check and it is so easy to track since those people have gained hundreds of thousands of gems in one day. The third option is that they would do nothing about it and just fix the exploit.

Some scammers use stolen credit cards to purchase items in video games on Steam and sell stuff for real money (aka RMT) and then the credit card companies / owners cancel any pending transactions or file charge disputes, so in return Steam has to pay the disputed money back for the transactions that have been proven to be illegal because taking the matter to court is a lot more expensive than just giving the money back. It has happened in Lost Ark back in the days and they introduced a 3 day restriction as a counter measure. But it's on the game publisher/devs to remove the fraudulent in-game currency, which NCA obviously did not do. It's just a guess though.
All that is known is that all those gems came from or with the help of Steam servers because that exploit did not exist before the Steam servers.

If you want my personal guess, I think there will be a 10 hr maintenance where they are going to manually ban a lot of accounts that store the fraudulent gems and some of the most egregious buyers who went all in on buying the exploited gems. The worst case scenario is that they just fix the exploit and keep the economy as is, which would most likely make many people quit the game in an instant. I don't think they would make a server rollback.

Is this normal? Does this happen for everyone? I've tried various different macros and delays, and I can't seem to get puncture to cast in the next rotation after a failed one. If the delays are really slow, then it would work as I expected, but then the anicancel would be way too slow for actual gameplay, and if I tinker with it, I can never get it to work with fast/smooth anicancelling.

That's a known issue with R TAB T builds for a long time. Common desync'd macro issue. Only way around that is to not input a failed pierce

If you want to commit to Hybrid you should pick a DT from the selector and purchase an SS.
Or you pick a puncture and buy all the seperate purples for about as much as an SS.
