your need = requirement to clear dungeon
my need = prerequisite for the build i want to play
for a lot of people, clearing all content is not their ultimate goal, it's to play what they want

and build & earn what they want

some other dudes i know just don't give a damn about gearing up or progressing in the correct order, they would rather farm up the exact thing they want (in this case, a specific purple) and there's no realistic way to do so

I usually just watch the dmg ratio at the end, if I just pure lmb tab Rmb, it's like 40-45% dmg from pierce, but if I holding Rmb while cdr is up, my ratio becomes like 55-60% dmg from pierce, so I would assume when you start stacking more pierce, your dmg when up by 5%dps per one purple pierce if you hold Rmb while cdr, otherwise is 2-3% per one purple book stacking
