Hello! Do you happen to know if the player was using a custom skin? In rare cases, side 7 pak files can become corrupt and cause this issue.
Did any other player on your team confirm whether the player was invisible for them as well?

no, they were using the titans skin, also the server had random hickups where players would freeze than move rapidly

It's possible that occurred as a result of the server hiccups then. A similar matter happens in TF2 and Source engine under bad network conditions
