quaint grove
#

fair goblet
#

no

weary umbra
#

have you disabled local db and installed mongo outside of lunar core?

fair goblet
#

where do i do that

#

this?

weary umbra
#

yes, change all the useInternal ones to false

#

did you download and install mongodb outside of lunar? if you didn't this won't work

fair goblet
#

wym outside?

weary umbra
#

like, did you go to mongodb's website, download an installer and install?

fair goblet
#

yea

weary umbra
#

ok nice

fair goblet
#

how do i set it up after disabling internal db

weary umbra
#

did you have lunar core on when you installed mongodb?

fair goblet
#

yea

weary umbra
#

ok, you're gonna need to enable the mongo service then, since it wouldn't be able to be turned on automatically

#

press win + r, type services.msc and press enter

#

there'll be a big list of services

#

you need to look for MongoDB Server (MongoDB)

#

like this

fair goblet
#

its not there

weary umbra
#

are you sure you installed mongodb then?

#

it should've been there

fair goblet
#

yea, i used the link from the github page

#

restarted pc too

weary umbra
#

hm that's a bit weird, can you check in your installed apps list and see if mongo is really there?

fair goblet
weary umbra
#

you should have something like this

weary umbra
# fair goblet

nono like, open settings, apps and there'll be an installed apps list

#

this one

fair goblet
weary umbra
#

ok yeah, you have it installed

fair goblet
#

ima restart pc just in case again

weary umbra
#

ok, let me know if the mongo entry in services.msc appears

#

if not, i suggest uninstalling and reinstalling without lunar core started

fair goblet
#

it still not showing oof

#

yea ima just reinstall

weary umbra
#

yeah, i think reinstalling is the best option here

#

it should be enabled automatically once you reinstall, just make sure lunar is not open

fair goblet
#

oh

#

wait

#

i think i know what happened lol

#

i accidentally unticked this

#

lol

#

when installing b4

weary umbra
#

ohhh that might be it lmfao

fair goblet
#

yea its there now

#

how do i connect it to lunar now

#

?

weary umbra
#

oh, it's done

#

just

#

start lunar

#

and it should work perfectly

#

lmk if something else breaks

fair goblet
#

is there a way to transfer the internal db data to mongo?

weary umbra
#

ah, this one im not quite sure, if you don't mind waiting a bit i can look into it
