Idk if it's a bug or what but ever since that update yesterday I can't join any multiplayer lobby. I get this screen and can't do a thing. I have to go to task manager to quit the game. I've tried verifying the game files, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating my pc, nothing works. Anyone else having this bug?

Either way, it looks exactly the same for me, I select character and loadout, then it just brings me to this inventory screen where I can't do anything.

tough, at least you get to play the game at all; I even made a completely new save and within 4 missions the game decided to shoot this error again

I've tried everything ranging from verifying files, reinstalling, restarting pc, using save backups, making a new save, running in admin mode, changing settings, etc.
the game always bugs out like shown for you the second I confirm my loadout

I FIXED IT!
As it turns out, when you have the exotic mod "Hot Swap" equipped for the DMLR the game bugs you out and presents you with the screen in the screenshot. Though I'm sure there are other upgrades that can give the same error.

yea, make sure to unequip all the mods you have and then try one by one which one might be causing the issue to appear
if it still happens with no upgrades, mistakenly referred to them as mods just now, then it's some other issue I'm unaware of
either way, game works fine for me after unequipping it by editing the save file lol

I suggest trying any upgrades that change the weapon's firing behavior or "mode" first

For me, i stripped my bruiser of all upgrades and equipped unupgraded cycler and trident and i was able to join lobbies without it happening, but there was an issue where i'd go back to glider with all my upgraded weapons and press Esc to go to the menu and it would straight up lock me on the gear menu without cursor or anything

I got around it by being the one hosting. For some reason that worked. Yep! Character included!
I think maybe I somehow forgot something somewhere but I’m too lazy to try taking it all off again. I’m lucky enough to have a group of friends to play with who don’t mind me hosting.

this appears to be caused by certain upgrades on the dmlr and incendiary grenade (i believe hot swap for dmlr and incendiary grenade's impact cascade). itll be fixed in the next update

Don't know how ok it is with you if I ping you, but whatever I guess. I have a similar issue. When I host a private lobby with both the swarm launcher and jackrabbit equipped, independent of character or grenade selection, I freeze on the inventory screen. If I choose a different weapon for one of the slots, the game functions as normal, but it breaks again if I go back to equipping both of the stated weapons. I have video if you want me to post it again. Weirdly, I have been playing with these two weapons for almost the entire time I've been playing the game, and haven't run into the issue until now. Which means my game should've frozen the first time I equipped them, or upon my first loading of the game after the update if that's what caused it. I'm pretty sure the first time this happened, I had just unlocked a secret path and went to go see which weapon it unlocked for because I wasn't paying attention. I'll keep trying to narrow down what is causing this, but it's gonna take a while because I have to reload the game every time. Thanks :)

It's a cosmetic on the swarm launcher
Specifically, it's the Factory (Shifted, Neon)
