#PERFORMANCE ISSUE THREAD

@grizzled eagle
tbh i might be cooked since im using an old laptop i got for college
device: surface book 2
cpu: intel core i5-7300u at 2.60 ghz x 2
gpu: intel hd graphics 620
ram: 8 gb ddr4
if you're using integrated graphics i dont know how much we can help you
What settings are you running at? Lowering resolution scale should help a bit. Though with integrated graphics you might not be able to do much.
if I have
GPU: AMD Radeon(TM) 610M
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 7320U with Radeon Graphics 2.40 GHz
8gb ram
around 20-30 fps while running the game, I wonder if there's a chance for me to ever play the game in at least 40+ fps😭
I can do around 60 fps on the lowest resolution but uhm... that ain't playable😭 I play at atleast 50-60% resolution
we'll be improving performance for release but unfortunately integrated graphics will probably always struggle
i threw render down to 30, but going lower helped a lot actually
Any plans on supporting other upscaling methods? Though not sure how they would look with this art style. Lower render res actually doesn't look so bad as is.
our version of unity doesnt support dlss which kind of sucks
we do have fidelityFX upscaling but its not nearly as good as dlss
there shouldn't be any issue with my specs i dont think
but i still get some considerable lag
2.5 GHz is the most likely issue, I have a 1650 and 16gb of ram and I run fine
.
weird because the bottle neck I'm getting is with gpu
You do know that in my case its a laptop gpu
The max q design bit means it's a laptop one
CPU: intel core i5-6500 @ 3.20 GHz
8 GB ram
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030
yes this is a potato
it was 200 bucks and I'm pretty sure it's one of those computers you find in your elementary school computer room
but I can still run 20 fps with minimum graphics <3
...semi consistently
Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11900H @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz
Ram: 32GB Ram
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
Game chugs alot even at low settings with a 60 fps cap, will smooth out from time to time but otherwise very stuttery
huh, same issue with me
yours is a much stronger laptop Nvidia gpu, but I also get stuttering
hopefully its fixable
I have a laptop RTX 4070 (I think the driver version is 570? I need to check) and a 32-core i9 14900HX CPU, even on my performance profile the game struggled to reach my native display refresh rate at 120 Hz. I'm running on Linux. I'm gonna see if I can investigate a frame capture and report back on what's making it struggle so bad
What resolution are you running at?
Even on my desktop 4090 I don't get 120 at all times at native 4k. But lowering resolution scale just a little bit gives me 120 even in the largest fights.
75% of native 1080.
FXR upscaling :(
I hit 90 FPS at 1080p, all low graphics
That's odd. I'd expect a 4070m and 14900hx to do much better at 720p
Is your GPU usage maxed out? Maybe a CPU bottleneck?
NVIDIA's Linux drivers tend to perform subpar to their Windows counterparts- I'm downloading the game on Windows right now to see how it measures up
which. may take a few hours.
That makes sense. My only experience with Linux gaming is the steam deck
This seems to have been the problem- my system actually chews through the game at ~120 (I think? I had my FPS display disabled, but it felt smooth) FPS on Windows
I took a few screen captures but I forgot to go through them (lie- her computer crashed) so I'll do that again later
I don't believe its the issue on my end though, I am not running linux at all
Yeah- my linux setup can run Cyberpunk reliably- it's certainly not bad, just worse. The performance issues ARE there- there's a corner in the lobby that increases the ms/frame by 3 just by looking at it
performance is alright but could certainly use some polish too, 3 people in my party and I started to notice some drops
I play ~50% render. My laptop is a HP Power G8 Intel Core i7-11800H Processor with 8GB RAM 🐏 and NVIDIA T1200 GPU 💻
It’s a “professional grade” laptop so not really tuned for gaming, it’s pretty mid in gaming laptops but it can play a lot of older titles at max graphics like L4D2 for example
CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 16-Core Processor
GPU - Nvidia Geforce RTX 4090
i reach very very high fps, cant check rn
rain really tanks performance for me, i think having an option to turn it off or reduce effect quality would be nice, game is playable with this on m4 mac thru crossover until the rain comes down
we noticed some performance issues with the rain during the demo so we’ve made improvements to it since then! (on release the rain will be opaque instead of transparent which helps it run a lot better)
okay good to know
Is this gonna be an option or just that
it won’t be an option - we’re changing how a lot of our vfx work for release to make them run better
