The Zoi's emotional system needs to be revisited; it's too limited and lacks nuance.
Yesterday, one of my couples divorced. At first, both were equally desperate, both those who wanted the divorce and those who suffered it. The next day, both were happy and content. 🙂 There's no transition between one state of mind and the other.
But what surprised me most is that the couple's four children, a toddler and three teenagers, didn't notice this event. They showed no emotion about it. It seems really too unrealistic to me.

I use the ai texture command or download from websites like deviant art. If you up the glossy bar it also makes the textures slightly darker (doesn't add gloss since they aren't naturally glossy)

If there is a family you don't want evict them and put your family there. There are 8 zois per household. Not sure how many lots per world but you can do the math and see if your 1000 will fit

I haven't experienced that, I have found out that doing the build for the furniture on the crafting machine doesn't work for me, it just doesn't, not sure what to do to fix it..I select on the furniture craft area the chair then the legs and hit okay, it puts me in build mode then it just doesn't go anywhere else after that.

Why is it that the vehicle has some issues with traveling? For instance when I get them in the vehicle they just sit there, yet when I actually click on the location of where they work, and click ride mount here thru act like they they are stuck and can't go anywhere, however the very minute I tell them to walk to their job they have no issues walking, yet it seems like they have issues with riding their vehicles there😭.. this has happened at since I've been playing the last few days.

I know that they need to be cautious with the street signs, and the red lights, that isn't the issue exactly. The light could be good for them to travel on and they still act like they can't go.

When I send a Zoi to travel to Cahaya, after they return to Bliss Bay, things have changed. On my old save, some of my Zois I couldn't control, like they'd turned into NPC Zois. And their renovated house by me, had been reset. So I made a new game save, a bit later, after last update, and I made 2 families. One family I sent to Cahaya but a week their time later, I sent a different Zoi, one I'd created in Cahaya, back to Bliss Bay, but the family's house that I'd originally sent to Cahaya, had been reset! And no evidence of previous occupation by the travelling family! I thought the town that a travelling Zoi left, was meant to stay the same, when returned? To work around this, I don't travel but just go to a previous save, but it's annoying having my Zois or houses unplayable or reset, after travelling back. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me figure our what is going on with two of my Zois:
Mom just gave birth to her daughter but ever since they’ve both had mostly spiky thought bubbles with worried emojis, scissors, repairs and the exclamation mark. The baby can’t even finish her sleeping cycle because she wakes up with these extreme thought bubbles.

I’ve called a repair man, clicked everything in the house to see if it needs fixing but can’t find anything. Placed the crib in different rooms to see if it helps. All their needs are met. But still they are very worried. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Check the vertical emotion bars. One of them may have the reason for this unpleasantness. You can switch on smartzoi for the mom and read her thoughts. That may give a hint to what the mom expects to be fixed or changed.

Oh yes I forgot to mention that the vertical emotion bars and the descriptions also didn’t show any signs that something is wrong. Turning on smart Zoi is a great idea, I will try that. Thank you!!

The V3 update, that came just prior (or with) the Cahaya DLC made changes to properties. So yes, many players have experienced properties, and relationships being reset in save files prior to the update. It is suggested to start a new save to experience the changes in Cahaya and in other cities. In case you are playing with the old save, fix the properties, or move to another.

Thanks. Although it happens on my new saves too, and also only when travelling on the plane from Cahaya to Bliss Bay. The only way it doesn't happen, is not to travel, but use a previous save, and clone the Zois I want to be in Cahaya. My old saves and new saves work totally fine, it was only when Zois travel by plane.

I used to knock plenty of them down running to my home in Cahaya or Dowon.
Next day when I passed there they where always back.

You need to break their family relationship. Create another family. Move one of the zois to this new family. Now build a relationship amongst the zois. At a suitable time, you can invite the other zoi to "live in", thereby having both in one family but not relatives.

Ah! I again read your earlier post. I think you have run into the bug introduced in v3 update where in a saved game from a prior version, some married couples have turned into siblings. I assume you have opened an older saved game and ran into this issue. I'm so sorry I had misunderstood your post as zois being roommates, and hence my suggestion for creating another family. To turn back siblings into couples in relationship has no easy fix because due to the bug the two zois seem to have inherited a common "parent" zoi id who does not exist, and without the family tree being editable, it is difficult to remove such a "ghost" common parent. Neither does a cheat exist at this point. I think the devs are looking into this. So hold on to a previous saved game. I don't know a fix for the situation, but if I find one, I'll get back.

After restarting the game, I was finally able to modify the main door access since troubleshooting last night. I visited again this family's home and found out they are not finishing their cooking, eating and cleaning up. The trash bins are clear. I tried playing the family again and they would just stop cooking every time I try to make some foods. I did it over and over again thinking that errors could be from specific food. What is really wrong with this NPC household?

If you are referring to smart zoi that is their inner thoughts. You can toggle it on and off via settings if your pc is able to play it. If it doesn’t meet specs it’ll be greyed out for you

There's a few bugs that cropped-up with the mini-updates after 0.30 (0.31/32/33/etc.)

Like my Senyap property farming house was working A+, then all of a sudden the dishwasher couldn't be used.
Deleting/re-adding did nothing. I was trying a bunch of stuff to fix it and changed it from one wall into another and suddenly it started working again. A few other old houses of mine also have furniture no-longer usable from when you place them. Usually toilets or computer desk which now need more room. Including dining tables and chairs

I would not be surprised that the Cahaya café was working fine when they developed it for Cahaya's release, then the small patches broke something. Also explain why some NPC houses are so full of unwashed plates 😏

Aging down a Zoi in an existing save file is not available yet, they’re planning to add that option to the game so we have to wait for that one.

Build a basic pickaxe at the crafting table and try to mine until you find a golden stone (there’s lots of them in Cahaya) & also pick up some branches, then make sure to level up your crafting skill to level 2 by making random stuff so that you’re able to make a golden pickaxe. And then you can start mining with it to find better gemstones.

I also heard that diamond pickaxes are good for finding gemstone.

I’m not sure because i play on a Mac and mods are not available for us yet.

But what you can try to do is age down your existing Zoi with a preset if you have saved your current zoi’s look.

If you have that preset you can use the cheat code “showzoiinfo true” (it will show the zoi’s ID number) and to be able to edit your zoi in CAZ you need to use the cheat code “customzoi” and then you need to fill in the zoi’s ID you want to edit, it’ll look like this > “customzoi 12345”

Now you’re in CAZ and you just have to click that specific preset and your zoi’s will look young again.

Does that tea set from canvas show up in the custom section of the 3d print build mode? If so, you can spin it around and edit it in there. If not, it's a custom mesh that can only be adjusted by people with that skill set and tools. When I want a custom item in game, I make sure it's a flat object and then find a good photo. It can't be too realistic or it will look weird and fuzzy/blurry in game. But it willook somewhat blurry regardless, even when done well.

How do I get back the other choices of Romance? Two of my Zois have only got 3 choices and they get angry if I use them. On their relationship card, they are the same levels for True Love, Business Partners and BFF. Do I need to try to get the business relationship down? I've tried using the Set Relationship Full cheat, but I can't get that to work although it says applied. But still they're annoyed and no more choices in relationship appears. I tried Obliviate cheat but it only reset the relationship card, but didn't help my estranged Zois lol. Will I need to get rid of one if them and clone to reset the relationship? Hope not.

They used to be fine. And so did another Zoi couple, but they only have one choice 'ask for respect' left on their relationship choice. I've tried friending them up but still no more romance choices. They were fine last week, but after I've been following other Zois, for a while, they don't even Romance bar up at all now.

Not sure if it's part of you save file but you could give him your save file and he can continue playing it in his game and see if your lot is there then save it to his preset

You might need to give him your AIGenerated folder too (from your documents inzoi folder) since that contains all your 3d printed stuff

When you save it tells you the path (it's mydocuments inzoi SaveGames folder) group by modified date and the sort by most recent. The top one should be the folder. You can just zip it up

It determines how many families you can have waiting to be assigned in the family option from the map screen.
"Manage Families" I think it is called. I once hit the limit trying to make a new temporary family (designing a wife/hubby or kids for existing families mostly). So I just jacked mine to the maximum value.

I think it counts active families too, if not mistaken.

You "COULD" make those extra random families.
What will happen is if you have a household die off and a lot is cleared on the map, the game will assign those families to fill the spots... eventually, usually after a few days.

So your characters could show up.
It will be better if/when we can save fully customized families... eventually

You gotta make a crafted "preset" basically, so you need to put everything you want on your Zoi on that preset and save it (after adding piercings, etc.)

Then when you're done, go back to editing your outfits and there is a category where you can find that one crafted preset you made.

You can also put on only ONE crafted preset per outfit so make sure you got everything you wanted on that one preset.

It's in the "Craft" tab

Does anyone know how the raised platform for taking off shoes at the entrance of the house works? I was trying to build an apartment with a hallway that ppl would still wear their shoes in until they get to their actual apartment much like in the actual premade apartments but after deleting the raised floor which I'd assume is the "no-shoe zone" it won't let me edit the flooring anymore (just the ceiling from the below level). Of course, if this is the bottom floor, it won't let me edit that flooring either and just remains as the default street concrete 🙃

Had previously used a placeable premade that was supposed to look like a mini apartment and noticed that they would take their shoes off immediately at what would in theory be the public area. Is there not a way to control where you would take off your shoes?

Try turning off 'Realistic Shadows' in Game Options > Graphics.

A lot depends on your system specs and game graphics settings. Realistic Shadows is the most likely reason. If that does not help, you should configure the graphics options to suit your system specs. Head over to the forums and look for technical-help and bugs sub-forums for similar issues on shadows and flickering. Some users have shared their graphics settings so try those. Else post this issue on the technical help sub forum along with your video.

I have my zois living in Cahaya and my male zoi's career is sea turtle conservationist. The thing popped up for him to go to work and I clicked go then he walked to a random car on the street and stopped and then the command prompt for him to go to work went away. I went in multiple times and clicked for him to go to work and it keeps doing the same thing. I even manually took him to the turtle sanctuary then clicked the go to work button and he still walked away from the turtle sanctuary to a random car on the street and then stopped and the command promt went away. I'm so confused and I'm not sure how to fix it

Can I edit a zoi's name that is already generated in game or do I have to make two zois in my household so their kids will have the same last name? Like can I change the name of a zoi that is already generated in the game? I'm just asking because when I created my first save when the game was fairly new, I made the mistake of marrying a zoi that was already generated in the game that had a different last name and their second child had the same last name as the father and a different last name than the zoi I created and their first child so I want to make sure that doesn't happen again. Does anyone have experience with cluttered, mostly modded houses in the game? I am sort of afraid that a lot of furniture will lose their functionality because of the placements of other 3d printed objects or due to being „unreachable“. my question is, I see we can get mods directly through the game, but i also see curseforge and nexus? in the conversation, so are there mods only available in one platform, is one better than the other, plsss someone enlighten me c:

the in game mod menu is usually better / easier, however some mods werent allowed on curseforge, so youd find those ones on nexus

be careful with them tho as they will be disabled every hot fix and they can break the game, even clothing mods can break it

There was no fire. I tried to clean it up with a mop and then a vacuum cleaner, but it didn't work. It looks like scattered cigarette butts, something spilled, or some kind of mud. Use the vacuum to clean it. Then next time you reload your game it will be gone. It's "dirt" but the dirt is bugged atm so that sometimes when you clean it it doesn't disappear until you reload the save file. There is a bug report on the forum about it

WASD Controls have been there since the game came out for movement as well as using the mouse for movement

I found out how to do this: use the ‘track’ toy. I assumed it was a train track which is why I didn’t associate it with the ‘play with toy car’ wish at first.

You can resize them by disabling object snapping (I think it's this one I'm not on the game to double check) it's an option on the build mode bar at the top. Then when you click on a 3d printed object you can resize it all.

we can randomly see ghosts now? So this is the reason why I randomly see moving objects, like computer chair. My kid zoi can't see the ghost tho. I freaked out a little cos inZoi really did it well. As per experience, some ghosts really looks like this. Faces are unclear while clothes are remarkable.

I have heard that some Mac products struggle as Inzoi has not been optimized for them yet.

You could play with the MetalFx settings and try Balanced, that should help with FPS. With macOS Tahoe you might also see tiny improvement if you haven’t updated yet. But overall the game isn’t that great experience on Macs just yet, hopefully some further game updates will bring some improvements

My character is depressed, I just had like 3 donuts to remove negative emotions... A clock appears on top of the negative emotion for a few seconds but emotion remains after..

Donuts work but that specific donut doesn't. I remember wanting to raise a bug report on it and then finding an existing report. The team said they were looking into it. A trick to remove the negative moodlet faster is to go to manage city settings and set the slider to the max to make positive moodlets last longer

To be honest raising a bug report is not complaining. As long as you are just reporting issues you have noticed with picture/video evidence to help someone else try to quickly reproduce it.

The game is still in early access and reporting issues so that they can be resolved will only help the game improve.

It should state how long the emotion has left. If you hover over it. There have been times where it has glitched on a few people and been like 100+ hours tho. Does it show the time left?

The depressed 7 is usually because a friend died. The more friends they have, the more depressed they will be (so much for friendship, lol)

Apartments, unlike houses on other lots, cannot have their windows modified. Even if you use cheats, they probably won’t be removed.

they do if you have aging on. adult is normaly 30 in game days for them to age to the next life stage and they need to sleep to progress that bar

(doesnt work to age them if you try to force them sleep all the time)

not necessarily what i mean is just if you force them to sleep to age them up faster it doesnt work like that. lol

you can check if aging is on via gameplay settings

unless you used a cheat to freeze aging then im not sure how to fix that

in the zoi card there should be a bar under what stage they are at, that will tell you how many days they have left
