yes certain mods have made the game crash for me. I have informed the creators of it. Until its fixed i just uninstall the mod. I had to go through one by one to figure out which one was making me crash. The ones from apaloosa12? was crashing for me. Soon as i put them on in CAZ it crashed, sometimes before.

I play a household where one zoi has the Authoritarian trait. The trait description states that it's difficult for them to develop relationships aside from business ones, but I didn't expect it would be impossible to build other types of relationships.

One of the roommates made some progress toward becoming friends with the Authoritarian zoi. I could see that on the relationship panel. However, when I switched to the Authoritarian zoi, she did not have any friend relationship value with the other zoi at all.

I've only ever seen mutual relationship levels between zois. Is this a bug, or a feature of the Authoritarian trait? If it's a feature of the trait, I definitely hate that. It shouldn't be impossible to form other bonds. A challenge is what I expected, but not an impossibility.

Does anyone else have experience with Authoritarian zois or zois with relationships that aren't mutual and equal?

Can Authoritarian zois develop non-business relationships? It says it's more difficult to develop other types of relationships, but it didn't say "impossible."

I did but it's one of those that takes forever and then some. Even raising family relationship was a pita.
You just have to grind it, but now you have to contend with 3 bubbles of small talk that can severely hamper your progress. I wouldn't in fact be surprised it produces negative growth more often than none thanks to the 50-50 chance of negative reaction on these.... Unless you have that small talk fix mod.. maybe.

When I asked earlier, there was a post saying not to make bug reports, but I had only mentioned that another zoi had a developing friend relationship with the authoritarian zoi, but the authoritarian had no progress in anything but business. I had never seen zois be in one-sided relationships before. They always had the same level of relationship—but I guess it's a feature of this trait.

It's definitely more negative than anything. I have this zoi living with 3 roommates, and one is meant to be her sister. The sister is the one that had some friendship developing with the authoritarian. The other roommates had no relationship at all with her except one had a sliver of business relationship and a sliver of negative friendship (or at least it looked left of the line).

I didn't know about the small talk fix mod, and don't know where to get them. Now I'll search about that.

But it generally sounds like it will be impossible for me to achieve one of the goals of my Let's Play series, so I'll need to use a cheat and change the personality trait. 😞 That is... after I post a few complaint feedback posts... 😡

Yes I do, I kind of noticedit also when I was in a game and had one of the Car mods in world and it took a long time to exit from Build mod to back in game. When i deleted the car out of the world, the transition was instant.

Hey all, I have “auto generate schedules” turned off. However, every time I switch families, something changes or gets added to their schedule. It’s currently Friday and now both my teens don’t have school scheduled. I switched to other families to check and one teen has school and the other doesn’t. You can do some interesting things with the 'CustomZoi <ZoiID>' cheat.
If you go into CAZ using the cheat on an existing zoi, and apply a preset that is a different age group, the zoi changes to that age group.
So, what you could do is go in CAZ using CustomZoi on the zoi who's age you want to change. Save them as a preset as they currently are. Exit back to the lobby, and go into Character Studio. In Character Studio, find that preset you just created, and select the different age you want the zoi to be. Save that new age as a preset. Now you can go back into your game, edit the zoi with the CustomZoi cheat, and select the aged-up preset. Voila! Your zoi is now the age you want!
I've been using that little trick as a fountain of youth as I edit townies, but it should work just as well for aging-up a zoi.
Don't know if it will work for toddlers or newborns, as they aren't usually available in CAZ.

Also sometimes it gives me certain times I can schedule a social invitation with that zoi

No. When they are busy just won’t allow you to invite them. You cannot send that type of txt message.

I have a workaround to this that seems to work 100%.

Schedule a party.
Remove everyone except the Zoi you want (ie: your date).
Select clothing as party (hey! you want to look your best, and don't forget to request it from your "date" as well)
Pick as long as you want for length.
Then select a spot. Now NPCs love to chaperon you and slow down any talking. So if you have any free lot in town (In my game there's the 2008 and 3140 - But that's in Bliss Bay), so last time I picked the 2008.

The beauty of a party is that both you and your date SHOULD get teleported there (sometime the date walks so you have to wait a bit), and you have the entire lot to yourself. I've yet to have a date complain they could not show up.

This also allows you to create a party with you, your brother/sister/parent, and someone you know you want them to meet, heh.

I also have this problem from time to time. Seems to be intermittent, and only available to the family lead (if you have more than one Zoi in your family). If the options are gone, I'd say to restart the game and try once you get back in.

I think I found a way around Zoi's not going to work. This is the second time I've tried this and it worked both times.

Scenario
I have two Zoi's at home and both go to work at the same time. On my selected Zoi the work notification pops up and click for them to go. However when I do that with the other one, they won't go to work. Let's call them Zoi A and Zoi B.

What happened the first time
When Zoi A was able to go to work he walked right outside to the Taxi parked in front of the house. Zoi B's notification did not pop up so I hit the emergency button thinking that maybe my Zoi was stuck,—Zoi A was teleported to the city, but the notification still didn't appear, so I had her walk back home. On her way home she got closer to a taxi and the job notification popped up.

The Second time
This time I was on Zoi A and her notification popped up. I clicked go and she went to the Taxi parked out front, but Zoi B did not have a notification to go. So remembering what happened last time I looked around for the nearest Taxi and had him run over there and sure enough the notification appeared.

I don't know if this is a truly a find, but if anyone else can try it and see, if they run into this problem, then maybe this is the workaround.

This is what has been working for me ....

If the Zoi is not going to work, and if they are doing some other action (like listening to music), I click on the calendar icon, open the schedule, close and go back, then cancel the current action and the 'Go to work' notification pops up. If the Zoi is doing nothing, I schedule some action (like use the bathroom), and usually the go to work notification pops up when the new action has begun; or click the calendar icon as above and the notification pops up.
The other thing I do if I have 2 or more Zois to go to work at the same time is get 1 or more to go on the sidewalk (near the taxi pickup point) a few minutes ahead of the scheduled time, and then switch to the other Zoi. The go to work notification usually pops up for the zoi I'm monitoring while the other Zoi(s) outside keep their schedule.

I wonder why the 34 pre-made idle families aren't more prominently integrated into the cities. They have a readable and comprehensible history. Every time I see a member of the non-player families, I get a special sense of unity and togetherness within the respective city. The recognition value shouldn't be underestimated. I'm always happy when I see a familiar face and can follow the family's development from afar.

Even the empty apartments are gradually being filled with unknown families without any description, instead of the pre-made idle families.

The information says it stops the player zoi from aging, but I have multiple characters in one house and want only one of them to age.

I had this problem, and you will need to use cheats. It helps if you have the parents together to make things easiest.

First, enable cheats via the Psycat Guide if you haven't already.
Use these cheats with the mother selected:
showZoiInfo true
removePregnancy
Next, getBabyWith [other Zoi's ID] and insert the other parent's Zoi ID that you'll see above their head. Make sure to take out the square brackets too.
To have the new baby immediately helloMyAngel
Finally, use showZoiInfo false

The last update was supposed to have fixed this issue, but if the baby was conceived before the update, it wouldn't have helped.

Absolutely. The "StopAging" cheat is on a zoi per zoi basis (affecting the one you control) and remains active the whole game unless undone.

Or one of the 2 parents can access a computer and select "Have a baby with medical procedure" instead of the "getBabyWith". The medical procedure is instant once done.

You definitely won't lose access to anything added to the game between now and the official release of the game. It's not quite right that the inZOI dev team calls these updates as "DLC" because they're updates to a game that's in active development. The Early Access phase on Steam enables players to take part in the development of the game by sharing feedback, etc.

inZOI is the only game in Early Access that I've ever played where major updates were called "DLC." Most people think of DLC as optional game addons that you can purchase or receive for free, but these updates to inZOI aren't optional. They won't be left out of the game when the game leaves Early Access because it's finally released. People who buy the game on release day will get all the same content because it's all part of the future base game.

Try to think of them as major updates, because that's what they are. Perhaps they chose "DLC" for people who have never experienced a Steam Early Access phase of a game. It can help some people understand that there will be a lot of new content and features added and you don't have to pay anything to have them.

If I'm incorrect, someone will need to link to an article in a reputable magazine or website for me to believe it.

Umm it's hit or miss, but delete any other events scheduled for the affected days, reactivate the day with the slider on the left, then switch to another family for an hour or so. Then switch back to your original family. Not guaranteed, but seems to work from time to time.

We really need an option to "regenerate schedule" for that bug.

I created a new game and I'm still having this annoying bug where food preparation disappears...
I've looked at all the forum threads that discuss this and tried everything:

• Delete the entire kitchen
• Place the items in different rooms, etc.
• Try different layouts

As soon as I use a recipe that requires a stove, the food disappears instantly after being prepared on the countertop.

All other dishes work (oven, microwave, countertop preparation only). It's quite frustrating :/

Hello fellow ZOIers! I have a question. I edited Cafe Mar and was careful to leave the registers and kiosk in tact so they didint become disfunctional. But when I upload it to canvas or reinstalled it the registers were gone and so was the kiosk..Now the kiosk isn't functional to order from it only ask to look at the menu. I dont know the answer, but i wonder if it has something to do with the fact that the original registers and kiosk weren't placed by you, and so like they weren't included? Also maybe the registers and kiosks place by players are still currently cosmetic, so then that could be why when you place them in that it has issues? Currently, I dont believe players can run businesses, so when you upload to canvas, it might have saved as a general building and not a business?

Game just finished downloading for me, so I am going to look to see if there is a way to do so in game

So i edited the café mar using the cheat

I placed a new café kiosk

And the old one that was in game still works

But the new one I placed, does not work

So what i speculated about the ones that you place being more cosmetic and not working is true

And all other kiosks also are the same way

Interestingly, the bread stand still works when placed

Also note that you cant place café kiosks. You place cutting edge kiosks instead

If you need money as a teen (which lasts 15 days now, it's that insane lol) you have to hunt rare rocks, fish big ones, or take up painting (money starts to really come in when you reach level 9-10, which may take a while because school and social activities take a lot of your free time - but it's currently the best money maker), You could also write book/music but those usually sell for 50-150 meows so that sucks.

Run a large garden and sell all produce (no need for the stand, just sell them from Build mode once harvested)
You can write books and songs but that takes a long time and sells for pennies. But still an option.

Other option. Marry and be a bad person and steal their money and divorce them... rince/repeat.
But that's very evil and gives marriage a bad name 😭

Yes. Go into Zoi preset. there should be a button to save at the top. It will save your character with the current clothes it is wearing. You have to save each clothing category in the clothing preset as well. But once you do you can reuse that character as much as you want

Umm... you might need to add him to the family in a new game. The option to modify a family after having created it has been gone since June and wont be back until October or something. But you can always create a new temporary family from the map and add both your zoi and the hubby there - or when making a new game.

There's an issue with the way things work right now. Let's say you apply to 3 different jobs with family 1, call these jobs A-B-C.

You switch to other families and also apply to jobs. If you apply to A or B or C, pay VERY close attention to the confirmation text: "Your in luck Zoi named "BLABLABLA" is quitting so we have an opening". They may be firing other Zois from family #1. The more you put Zois in the same jobs, the more chance this can happen. Also not sure, but I think if a Zoi you play gets promoted, and there's only one position at the top, enyone that's there gets pushed out. Before my last game crashed, I had trouble keeping my Zois employed.

It's a mess, and I hope they fix this and only fire Zois who are not "from the city" first, and don't fire them if they are from the city, get a message "Application rejected; no room" if that's the case and there's no room.

This is why we need more jobs

It's easy to manage one family but becomes an issue with multiple.

There's a bug where Zois will no longer work one of their workdays too, but that one foes not generate unexcused absences.

but you dont get paid and promotion are slower the less days they work, so it's annoying nonetheless

Yes, I had same issue with my "Elizabeth Collins" - the first blue-eyed blonde I tried making about a month ago.

If you put him to hubby right away you can have a baby the second you jump in the game.
If you set him to roommate, you have to win him over to your cause, which depending both their personalities, and if you're using the "pre-0.20 smalltalk fix" mod, could take a little while of dedicated talking.

On the plus side if you start as roommates, you'll have a wedding reception, which is pretty cool

Hi there again! A while back I had posted the steps to change the appearance and age of zois including NPCs. So try this.

Prior to using these steps, you should have downloaded the zoi face (and body, clothes etc) from Canvas.
At the step where you are to apply the preset of the zoi, you can choose to apply any preset downloaded from canvas.

You can replace the face, reshape the body, change the apparel, change the age, and possibly the gender (this I haven't checked). I don't think the traits and the name can be changed, at least I haven't tried it, but could be possible. Also, you can't change the family using this cheat.

However, I feel using the cheat this way takes away the fun out of the game. The gameplay is about discovering the traits, values and likes/dislikes of the zoi (irrespective of how they look) and then build a relationship. Changing everything using cheats may take away the anticipation, surprise and the challenge. -- my 2 bits

Bathtub Crash : Is there a specific method to overcome weird bug like this? anytime zoi using a tub, the lights will start flashing, season rapidly change outside the house and finally the game crashes and closes entirely every time. I changed few tubs in different location infact just tub alone on empty space / back yard (no ALT use). Is this the reason why the game still bypassing stopcleaning cheat, and zoi still cleaning the tub instead of using it autonomously?

Okay, I figured out what was causing the invisible Pizza/Cake issue!

It was caused by a Mod called Realistic Food.

The mod primarily adds realistic calories to every food in the game, but it also increases the amount of servings on pizzas and cakes. I guess tuning that makes the plates appear empty.

That being said, note that if you’re trying to test your game without mods like I was, using the toggle to disable mods in Options won’t prevent mods from affecting your game.

The toggle didn’t work, and neither did disabling the mod in the in-game Mods manager. You have to completely remove the mod’s files from your Mods Folder to test.

After I did that, my pizza and cakes showed up properly.
